Wednesday, September 12th


12:37 PM- A report of a larceny was made at the Brookline Police Station.  The complainant told officers between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM that day, she was conducting business at work on Washington Street.  She remembers the last time she utilized her cell phone.  Staff searched the building unsuccessfully.  This case is under investigation.

Tuesday, September 11th


6:40 PM- Officers were dispatched to Naples Road for a dog bite report.  Upon arrival they met the complainant who stated at approximately 6:00 PM he was with his dog in the Lawton St Playground basketball courts.  A male and his dog entered the park.  Both owners agreed to let their dogs interact.  When the complainant’s dog approached the other dog, the other dog bit his in the muzzle area.  Both dog owners pulled their dogs away.  The offending dog’s owner told the victim’s owner that his dog was up to date on her shots but did not give any contact information.  When the victimized dog and her owner arrived at home the owner noticed the wound was bleeding.  Animal Control has been contacted for further investigation.

Monday, September 10th


2:32 PM- A report was made at the front desk of the Brookline Police Department regarding a larceny.  The reporting party stated that on 9/1/18 at about 9:45 PM she had finished her shopping at a store on Harvard Street and called a taxi for a ride home, located on Beacon Street.  She told the officer she completed her purchase at the store and placed her wallet into one of the paper shopping bags, which she rolled out to the taxi in a shopping cart.  While leaving, she passed through a group of four men who were in the doorway of the store.  Two of the men helped her transfer her bags into the trunk of the taxi.  She stated that one of the men may have bumped against her.  When she arrived home, she could not find her wallet.  She stated that she and the driver searched the taxi.  This case is under investigation. 

Officers were dispatched to Chestnut Street for a report of a larceny from a building.  An officer was met by a health care proxy upon arrival.  The health aid relayed the complaint to officers.  The aid explained that her patient would be moving soon and that in anticipation of the move she had been gathering the patient’s belongings and reorganizing them.  The health aid recalls last seeing the item (box) of the patients in June 2018.  August 22nd, 2018 when she went to locate the box she found the contents inside were missing.  She searched the residence with an unsuccessful outcome.   The patient has around the clock care by multiple aides.  This case is being investigated.

Sunday, September 9th


4:00 PM- A report was made for a breaking and entering with a larceny of a motor vehicle.  The reporting party told officers around 11:45 AM he parked his car on Dunster Road while he was on Hammond Street.  He stated when he returned to his motor vehicle around 2:30 PM he observed the contents of his center console were rummaged through.  Numerous items were missing.  This case is under investigation.

Saturday, September 8th


3:35 PM- A breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle was reported in Alton Court.  The caller reported she parked her motor vehicle outside of her residence at approximately 9:00 PM on 9/7/18 and when she entered her motor vehicle the next day at 9:00 AM she noticed her car had been rummaged through.  Various items were also taken from the vehicle.  The caller also told police she left her car unlocked.  This case is under investigation.

7:50 AM- A graffiti complaint was made on St. Mary’s St.  The complainant stated when coming into work on the morning of 9/8/18 around 4:30 AM he observed a new graffiti marking on the side of the building.  He notified officers that the past couple weeks his building has been vandalized with graffiti.  This case is being investigated.

Thursday, September 6th


4:37 PM- An officer was dispatched to Washington Street for a package theft.  The complainant stated he was supposed to receive a package on April 30th, 2018.  He had been away the week of the delivery and when he returned he did not see the package.  This case is under investigation.

6:28 PM- Officers responded to Beacon Street for a reported shoplifting incident.  An officer met with the store manager on arrival who stated that around 6:15 PM he witnessed a white male approximately 6’1” with a slender build, short haircut, black t-shirt, light-colored pants, and a large camo backpack, enter the store and steal a few items.  The manager stated he noticed this male enter the store a few times in the past week as well as hanging around the area.  This case is being investigated.
