Police Reports 3/8-3/9

Burglary: Occurred on 3/8 between 2:00 and 6:30 AM- Fuller St.

A Fuller St. resident reported a breaking and entering with a larceny. The victim stated that when he awoke on Thursday morning, he noticed that his laptop computer was missing from the living room. The victim stated that the door to the vestibule and the residence were unlocked at the time of the break. There were no signs of forced entry.

Malicious Damage: Occurred on 3/8 at 11:20 PM- Welland Rd.

A Welland Rd. resident reported malicious damage to his property. The victim stated that at approximately 11:20 PM he heard a noise from the first floor. When he went downstairs to investigate, he saw that a brick had been thrown through the dining room window. The victim did not see any suspects or other suspicious activities around the residence.

Police Reports 3/7-3/8

Arrest: Occurred on 3/8 at 2:23 AM- Boylston St.

A vehicle was traveling on Boylston St. at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his right to operate in Massachusetts was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspension.

Arrest: Occurred on 3/8 at 12:00 AM- Harvard St.

A vehicle was traveling on Harvard St. at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Harvard St. A query of the operator’s information revealed that his license was suspended and that he had an active warrant out of Dorchester District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for the warrant and Operating After Suspension.

B&E Arrest: Occurred on 3/7 at 11:43 PM- Boylston St.

Officers responded to a Boylston St. business for a possible breaking and entering. Officers observed a broken pane of glass where the suspect was believed to have gained entry and blood smears on the frame of the window. An office door had been forced open and the cash register had been emptied. A passerby stated that he encountered an individual next to this business who had asked for something to cover a cut on his hand. The subject was described as a white male with a beard, early 20's, wearing sweat pants, and blood on his hand.

Dispatch then received another call that someone had smashed a window at another Boylston St. business in close proximity. Employees of the second business stated that an individual had smashed a window and asked for medical attention for a cut on his hand. The description of this individual matched the description of the suspect from the first breaking and entering.

Officers canvassed the area and were able to observe a male in the area that fit the description. The passerby from the first B&E and the employee from the second B&E identified this individual as the person whom they encountered. Based on the facts of the incidents, the subject was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime, two counts of malicious damage, and one count of larceny from a building.

Arrest: Occurred on 3/7 at 9:27 AM- Boylston St.

A vehicle was traveling on Boylston St. at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Boylston St. and Hammond St. A query of the operator’s information revealed that his license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspension.

Police Reports 3/6-3/7

Arrest: Occurred on 3/6 at 1:13 PM- Beacon St.

A vehicle that was traveling on Beacon St. changed lanes in an unsafe manner without using a directional signal. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Beacon St. A query of the driver’s information revealed that his license was revoked. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Arrest: Occurred on 3/6 at 9:20 AM- Washington St.

A vehicle was traveling on Washington St. with an expired inspection sticker. The officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington St. and Juniper Rd. The operator did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was placed under arrest and issued a citation for Not Duly Licensed, Operating an Uninsured MV, and expired inspection sticker.

Police Reports 3/6-3/7

Burglary: Occurred on 3/4- Beverly Rd.

An individual reported a burglary from a Beverly Rd. residence. The victim stated that there was an open house at the residence on 3/4 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM. When victim returned to the home, she noticed that some jewelry had been stolen.

Police Reports 3/5-3/6

OUIL: Occurred on 3/5 at 3:56 PM- Lee St.

A vehicle was driving in the middle of the road, straddling the center white line on Clyde St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Lee St. Officers noticed that the left rear tire of the vehicle was flat. Upon talking to the driver, officers could detect an odor of alcohol emanating from her person. Based on the observations, the driver was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor. The operator also had a default warrant out of Brookline District Court. The operator will be charged with OUIL, open container, and weaving.

Package Theft: Occurred on 2/28- Beacon St.

A Beacon St. resident reported a package theft. The victim stated that a package had been stolen from the lobby of her building. The package had been confirmed delivered on 2/28, however it was not in the lobby when the resident went to retrieve it.

Police Reports 3/2-3/5

Robbery: Occurred on 3/2 at 10:00 PM- Cypress St.

An individual reported that she believed her boyfriend was the victim of a robbery on Cypress St. A search of the area did not produce this particular victim or any suspects, therefore officers responded to the victim’s residence. The victim stated that he was walking on Cypress St. when he was approached from behind by two suspects, one of which held a knife. The victim stated that the subjects pulled his sweatshirt over his head and demanded that he give up his cell phone. The victim stated that after the suspects fled, he observed them robbing another individual on Cypress St. The suspects were both described as dark skinned black males, mid 20’s, approximately 6’0”, wearing dark baggy pants, and dark sweatshirts. The two victims were unaffiliated and had been walking separately on Cypress St. when the incidents occurred.

Robbery: Occurred on 3/2 at 10:10 PM- Cypress St.

Officers were met by an armed robbery victim on Cypress St. The victim stated that he had purchased a case of beer and was walking on Cypress St. when he observed two black males robbing another individual. The victim stated that the subjects then approached him with a knife. The subjects took a cell phone and the case of beer, fleeing up Hart St. towards Franklin St. Officers canvassed the area but could not locate the suspects. The two victims were unaffiliated and had been walking separately on Cypress St. when the incidents occurred.

Arrest: Occurred on 3/3 at 2:06 AM- Boylston St./ Reservoir Rd.

A vehicle was traveling around the Hammond St. area several times with no apparent destination, turning around and reversing direction several times. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Hammond St. As the officer approached the vehicle, the operator accelerated and drove away from the officer. The officer then began to pursue the vehicle, which traveled at a slow speed. The vehicle eventually stopped at the intersection of Boylston St and Reservoir Rd.

When the operator exited the vehicle, officers were able to detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his person. Based upon the observations, the driver was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor and Failure to Stop for a Police Officer. The operator was additionally charged with Possession of a Class B Substance.

OUIL: Occurred on 3/4 at 2:11 AM- Boylston St.

A vehicle was traveling on Boylston St. at a high rate of speed. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Boylston St. Upon reaching the driver’s window, the officer could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Based on the observations, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor.

OUIL: Occurred on 3/5 at 12:47 AM- Winthrop Rd.

A gray Toyota that was traveling on Boylston St. drove over the curbstone in the left lane and side swept the guardrail. The vehicle corrected itself and pulled onto Beacon St., straddling the center line. The vehicle made an abrupt left turn onto Winthrop Rd. where the officer conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking to the driver, the officer could detect a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Based on the observations, the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The driver will be charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended license, Marked Lanes Violation, Failure to Signal while Turning and Driving on Sidewalk.

OUIL: Occurred on 3/5 at 3:02 PM- St. Paul St./ Browne St.

Officers responded to a radio call for a traffic crash at the intersection of Browne St. and St Paul St. Upon arrival, officers observed a disabled purple Honda Accord on St. Paul St. with extensive damage. Upon reaching the driver officers could detect a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his person. Based on the observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor.
