December 6th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between7:35PM and 7:55PM (12/06)- Longwood Avenue/ Marshall Street

Koji Nakashima, 32 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating with a Suspended License.

Police on patrol observed a vehicle and when checking its information it was learned its Operator had a suspended license, he was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 5PM (12/05) and 2:09PM (12/06)- Strathmore Road

Victim reported that sometime during the night a plant valued at $100 was taken from her front yard.

  • Occurred at 2:30PM (12/06)- 302 Harvard Street

A manager at the Childs Place reported witnessing two suspects stuff multiple clothing items into their bags and leave the store. The suspects are described as one Indian woman approximately 5’4” with a slim build and long dark hair; she was last seen wearing a gray sweat suit. The other suspect is described as a light skinned black female approximately 5’5” with a slim build and was last seen wearing dark colored attire.

  • Occurred between 1:30PM and 2:05PM (12/06)- 21 Longwood Avenue

The victim reported that his laptop valued at $3880, had been stolen from his unsecured office sometime during the day.

December 5th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:36AM (12/06)- Beacon Street/ Harvard Street

Aly Ghanem, 20 yrs, was arrested and charged with being Not Duly Licensed and other various traffic offenses.

Police on patrol witnessed a vehicle go through a red light and take a prohibited left turn. Upon stopping the vehicle it was discovered that the operator did not have a driver license and he was subsequently arrested.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 3PM (12/04) and 8:30AM (12/05)- 156 St Paul Street

Victim reported that someone had gained entry to a locked electrician’s room at their job site and stolen approximately $350 worth of copper wire.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 2:35PM and 5:15PM (12/05) - 115 Greenough Street

A student at Brookline High School reported that she was missing several items from her locker. A cell phone valued at $300 and a wallet which contained $20 cash were among the stolen items.

Car Breaks

  • Occurred at 2:28AM (12/06)- 174 Gerry Road

The victim’s car window was smashed however nothing was reported missing at this time.

  • Occurred between 5PM (12/05) and 4:47Am (12/06)- 176 Gerry Road

The victim’s car window was smashed however nothing was reported missing at this

time.

  • Occurred between 6PM (11/30) and 8AM (12/05)- 220 Gerry Road

Victim reported that sometime over the week her vehicles front driver's side window was smashed and her GPS navigation system valued at $400 was stolen.

  • Occurred between 4:30PM (12/05) and 4:37AM (12/06)- 242 Gerry Road

The victim’s car window was smashed however nothing was reported missing at this time.

December 4th Police Reports

Arrests

  • Occurred at 9:14PM (12/04) - Longwood Ave/ Marshal St

Akeem Pritchett, 18 yrs, was arrested and charged with Car Jacking, Assault with Intent to Rob, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and Disturbing the Peace.

Damien Scott, 19 yrs, was arrested and charged with Car Jacking, Assault with Intent to Rob, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and Disturbing the Peace.

Andrew White, 19 yrs, was arrested and charged with Car Jacking, Assault with Intent to Rob, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and Disturbing the Peace.

Police responded to reports of several suspicious males lurking around the neighborhood. Upon arrival it was learned that the three men and one juvenile had assaulted several citizens and chased them down the street. The suspects admitted that in addition to robbery they were intending to carjack the victims, the men were subsequently arrested along with the juvenile suspect. Police were also able to confiscate a BB gun from one of the suspects.

Robbery

  • Occurred at 4:46PM (12/04) - 319 Harvard Street

Victim reported that while riding his bike home he was approached by two Hispanic males who impeded his path with their vehicle and by opening the cars doors made it so he was immobilized. At that point the victim reported that one of the Hispanic males took a fighting stance and made reference to this assault being a robbery. When the victim revisited the other suspect pulled out a black handgun from his waist band and pointed it at the victim while he emptied his pockets. The other suspect held the victim at bay with a large folding knife, the then suspects fled with the victim cell phone which was valued at $450. The suspects were described as Hispanic males both between the ages of 15-18yrs. The driver was described as medium build approximately 5’7 tall with wavy black hair and a long ponytail. The second suspect is described as about 6” tall with a skinny build, a small pony tail and a tattoo on his right hand.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Occurred between 1:30PM and 10:30PM (12/03)- Aspinwall Ave/ Netherlands Rd

Victim reported that sometime during the day his black Acura Integra was stolen, inside the vehicle were several person items valued at $750. The car is valued at roughly $4,600.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 9AM and 1PM (12/03)- 420 Newton St

Victim reported that sometime overnight his plastic 6 ft fence located in his front yard was knocked over.

Fraud

  • Occurred at 11:34AM (12/04)- Mason Tr

Victim reported that someone had been applying for credit cards in her name and this case is still under investigation.

Summons

Occurred at 11:55Pm (12/04)- 172 Harvard Street

Police on patrol stopped a vehicle after it took an illegal left turn. Upon speaking with the driver it was learned that they had an expired inspection sticker, revoked insurance, an unregistered vehicle,

December 3rd Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred at 3PM (12/01)- 275 Harvard Street

Victim reported that a suspicious male entered her store and after the man left the employee noticed that a pair of sneakers valued at $160 was taken from the backroom. The suspect is described as heavyset with glasses between 55-65 years of age and is reported as having a thick Russian accent.

  • Occurred between 8PM (12/02) and 7:30AM (12/03)- Gerry Road

Victim reported that sometime overnight his vehicles drivers’ side door was smashed and his GPS navigation system valued at $450 had been taken from the dashboard.

December 2nd Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 1:32AM and 2:22AM (12/02)- 850 Boylston Street

Jason Miles, 34 yrs, was arrested and charged with Operating while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor.

Police on patrol received a call from Boston Police for a vehicle which had committed a hit and run. Brookline Police were able to locate the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver police determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

Summons

  • Occurred between 2:49AM and 3:41AM (12/02)- Manchester Road/ Naples Road

Police responded to the scene of an accident and found an empty automobile with a wallet inside. Police using the wallet were able to identify the driver who was found a short distance away. He was informed that he would be summonsed to court for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and Driving on the Sidewalk.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8:46AM (10/01) and 8:46AM (10/07)- John Street Parking Lot

Victim reported that she had previously had to replace all 4 of her tires due to holes being punctured into each one and she has since reported that again she has noticed her tires are low and believes that they have been punctured again. The puncturing to the vehicle’s tires has caused over $1000 in damage.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 4:50PM and 5:14PM (12/02)- 1333 Beacon Street

Police responded to Harris Fur for a report of a shoplifting. Police met with a store employee who reported after 3 individuals had left the store he had notice3d a mink coat valued at 9500 was missing from one of the racks. Police canvassed the area for the suspects with negative results.

December 1st Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12PM (12/01)- Harvard Street

Norman Juliano, 32 yrs, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting.

Police responded to reports of a shoplifter at TJ MAXX and were met by an employee who reported witnessing a man take the security tags off of several items of clothing and attempt to conceal them and leave the store. Police met with the man and he was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6PM and 9:30PM (11/30) - 20 Chapel Street

Victim reported that after attending a function at the Harvard School of Public Health he discovered his IPOD missing from his coat. The IPOD is valued at $250 and this case is still under investigation.

Loud Party

  • Occurred at 1:20AM (12/1)- Kent Street

Police responded to reports of a loud party and upon arrival to the apartment witnessed approximately 40 guests coupled with large amount of alcohol and empty beer cans. The party which was spreading from the inside into the street was dispersed and Officers were able to speak with the residents who were informed that they would be summonsed to court for Disturbing the Peace.

November 30th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred between 11PM (11/29) and 9:30AM (11/30)- 129 Fisher Avenue

Brian LaRocco, 19 yrs, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana), Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and additional Drug Law Violations.

A Resident Assistant at Newbury College reported smelling marijuana in the hallway of one of the dorms. Upon entering one of the rooms the R.A discovered 3 students smoking what appeared to be Marijuana. The R.A reported finding a beer ball, a large amount of Marijuana and additional paraphernalia. When police arrived they arrested the resident of the room and confiscated 3 glass pipes, a digital scale, and 4 separate bags of Marijuana in addition to a knife, a Marijuana grinder, and a beer ball.

Summons

  • Occurred at 1:23AM (11/30) -Harvard Avenue

A man will be summonsed to court for making threats to his neighbors. The man reportedly entered the victim’s unlocked apartment and told them to quiet down; he then returned later in the week and made additional threats.

Liquor Violation

  • Occurred between 4PM (11/29) and 11PM (11/30)

During the nights of November 29th and November 30th the Brookline Police Department conducted liquor stings. Police used an underage participant and had the subject, within view of the officer, enter each liquor store and attempt to purchase a small amount of either beer or wine without a valid ID. The participant was denied a sale at every store except one. Best Cellars at 1327 Beacon Street was the only package store that sold to the operative. They will subsequently be required to report for a hearing regarding the matter.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 12AM and 11:59PM (11/28)

Victim reported that someone had attempted to make several fraudulent charges to his account. An attempt was made to purchase computers and cell phones however the victim was able to alert the company before any items were shipped. The Apple store is looking into the problem and this case is still under investigation.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred between 1:30PM and 1:40PM (11/30) - Hart Street

Victim reported that while she was getting work done by a Sears Employee she discovered an additional man standing in her living room, she confronted the man and when it was learned he was not from Sears, the suspect attempted to give the woman money. When she refused and further confronted the suspect he fled out of the home. The Sears Employee and the victim described the suspect as a black male who was approximately 6” tall with a thin build and appeared to be about 35 years of age. The suspect was described as having short braided hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark blue jumpsuit and construction boots.
