Shoplifting: 2/5 at 5:00 PM- Harvard St.
A Walgreen’s employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that she observed an individual place items in a personal bag and leave the store without paying. The suspect fled on Harvard St. Officers were unable to locate a suspect matching the description.
Sector 4
Arrest: 2/6 at 12:05 PM- Washington St./Juniper St.
A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had an outstanding warrant out of Maine. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington St. and Juniper St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and he was placed under arrest for the warrant.
Operating after Suspension: 2/7 at 1:03 AM- Harvard St. / Webster St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Harvard St. with a broken tail light. The officer initiated a traffic stop at Harvard St. and Webster St. A license and registration check revealed that the driver had a suspended license as well as a warrant out of Roxbury District Court. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension and the warrant.
Sector 5
Shoplifting: 2/6 at 836 PM- Washington St.
A CVS employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that he observed a suspect conceal items in his jacket and flee the store without paying. Officers were able to stop an individual in the area who matched the description given by the employee. The employee positively identified the subject as the shoplifter. The suspect will be summonsed to court.

B&E MV/ Larceny: 2/7 at 2:57 AM- Clinton Rd.
An officer observed a suspicious male subject walking on Clinton Rd. The officer conducted a stop of this individual and he was found to be in possession of a large amount of spare change and an iPod. The owner of the iPod was contacted and it was confirmed that it had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle on Clinton Rd. The suspect was placed under arrest for Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle with Intent to Commit a Felony and Larceny over $250. There were several other car breaks reported in the area overnight.
Sector 7
Arrest: 2/6 at 5:25 AM- Clyde St./Larkin Rd.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Clyde St. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Clyde St. at Larkin Rd. A license and registration check revealed that the driver had an expired license. The driver was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
OUIL: 2/7 at 1:59 AM- Chestnut St. / Kendall St.
Officers responded to the area of Chestnut St and Kendall St. for a noise complaint originating from MV parked on Chestnut St. listening to loud music. Upon arrival the officers observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street with the engine running. The driver of the vehicle was asleep upon officers’ arrival. The officers could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the occupant. Based on the observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor. He was additionally charged with Operating after Suspension and Open Container.

Arrest 2/7 at 2:57am Clinton
Rd
While on Clinton Rd an Officer observed someone
who appeared to be concealing himself behind a tree.
The
Officer stopped and identified the subject. During this time, the defendant
appeared nervous and kept looking both to his right and left and not making eye
contact with the officer.
The officer noticed the suspect had an IPOD
hanging out of the top left pocket of his coat.
Officers
spoke with a homeowner on Clinton
Rd, who identified and confirmed his IPOD was
stolen from his vehicle.
Based on the above facts,
at that time, the suspect was placed into custody and transported for booking
to the Brookline Police Station.

Three individuals reported their wallets stolen from unlocked lockers in the female locker room at a gym on Harvard St.

A Trader Joe’s employee reported a shoplifting. The employee stated that she witnessed an individual leave the store without purchasing items in his carriage. The individual fled towards Beacon St. and was not located by police.

Public Meeting, Monday 7:00PM Devotion School
There will be a public meeting focused on the neighborhood of Saint Paul street, Crownenshield road, Pleasant street, Freeman street, and Amory street. The meeting is Monday February 11th at 7:00PM, Devotion School cafeteria, 345 Harvard Street Brookline. Chief Daniel O'Leary from Brookline Police along with Chief Robbins from BU police will be in attendance. Topics to be discussed include the recent robberies and the arrest made. Brookline Police will discuss the enforcement efforts at the quality of life issues in the area.

B&E MV: Between 2/2 and 2/3- Salisbury Rd.
A Salisbury Rd. resident reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and stole spare change sometime during the overnight hours.

An Atheron Rd. resident reported a breaking and entering. The victim stated that sometime after 2:00 PM, someone entered her apartment and went through her drawers. The victim did not report any missing from the residence.

Not Duly Licensed: 2/2 at 4:46 PM- Harvard St.
An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-Turn on Harvard St. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. A license and registration check revealed that the driver did not have a valid license. The operator was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Package Theft: Between 2/1 and 2/2- Dwight St.
A Dwight St. resident reported the larceny of a package. The victim stated that a package was confirmed delivered and left at the front door of her residence on 2/1. However, when she attempted to retrieve the package it was missing.

B&E MV: Between 2/2 and 2/3- Salisbury Rd.
A Salisbury Rd. resident reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her iPod sometime between 7:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

Warrant: 2/1 at 1:50 PM- Washington St.
An individual reported to the police station in order to have her vehicle released after it had been towed. A query of the individual’s information revealed that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The individual was placed under arrest for the warrant.
OUIL: 2/3 at 3:42 AM- Washington St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling with a noticeably flat tire. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Washington St. Upon reaching the vehicle, the officer noticed major front end damage to the vehicle. Additionally, the officer could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Based on the officer’s observations the driver was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor.

An individual reported a larceny from her locker in a gym on Commonwealth Ave. The victim stated that she placed her property in a locker in the female locker room and when she returned she discovered that her lock had become undone. Several items were reported stolen.
