December 29th 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:44PM (12/29) – 800 Boylston St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

  • Occurred at 5:21PM (12/29) – 99 Harvard St

Officers on patrol stopped two individuals who matched the description of suspects who had just shoplifted several items from a Walgreens. After being positively identified by store officials, both suspects were placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

  • Occurred between 2:56PM (12/29) – 416 Washington St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for operating with an unsecured load.

  • Occurred at 11:42AM (12/29) – Arlington Rd/ Lyon Rd

An officer on patrol stopped a motor vehicle that was traveling with a defective headlight. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for not being duly licensed.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred at 9:00Pm (12/29) – 105 Willard Rd

Reporting party states that while at home he heard glass break in the front area of his home. Upon opening the door he observed that a glass panel next to his front door had been broken.

  • Occurred at 7:45AM (12/29) – 333 Washington St

Reporting party states that he observed that the underground parking lot exit gate of the Brookline Building Department had been damaged.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 9:00PM (12/28) and 9:00AM (12/29) – 227 Cypress St

Victim reported that sometime overnight someone had smashed the front passenger vent window to his vehicle. He noticed that his vehicle had been rummaged through but it appeared that nothing had been taken.

Breaking and Entering/ Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (12/28) and 8:30AM (12/29) – 109 Gerry Rd

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his driver’s side window had been smashed. He noticed that the front grill to his vehicle was missing. Nothing appeared to be disturbed or missing from inside the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 1:45PM (11/28) and 1:45PM (12/29) – 85 Thornton Rd

Officers on patrol observed a parked vehicle with its front passenger window smashed. After contacting the owners police were informed that a Garmin GPS unit was stolen from the front windshield along with a Samsung cell phone charger that was taken from the center console of the vehicle.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 5:03PM (12/29) – 15 Harvard St

Victim reported that while she was at Starbucks she observed that her wallet was missing. Victim stated that she had left her wallet unattended on the counter. The wallet is described as a Coach wallet containing several personal cards.

December 24th – 28th 2008 Police Reports

Breaking and Entering/ Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 7:00AM (12/10) and 2:17PM (12/24) – 62 Greenough St

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that several books had been stolen from her trunk. It appeared that entry was gained by tampering with the trunk’s locking mechanism.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 1:00PM (12/22) and 2:00PM (12/24) – 401 Washington St

Victim reported that sometime during the day someone had stolen three packages from the hallway of his apartment. One of the packages contained a pair of bike shorts and a set of bike wrenches, another a T-shirt from Swobo Clothing Co., and the third contained a T-Shirt from Ben’s Cycle.

  • Occurred between 9:35AM (12/27) and 9:35AM (12/28) – 5 Linden Pl

Reporting party states that sometime overnight someone stole a Baby Jesus statue from his church’s property. The statue was part of a Nativity scene that was on display.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 7:00AM (12/21) and 6:06PM (12/26) – 8 Euston St

Victim reported that upon returning to retrieve his vehicle at a tow yard he observed that all four tires had been slashed. It appeared that the tires had been slashed with a sharp object while at the tow yard.

  • Occurred between 10:05AM (12/17) and 10:05AM (12/27) – 126 Chestnut St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that someone had keyed the driver’s side of his vehicle. The damage was done while the vehicle was parked in his driveway.

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (12/27) and 9:30AM (12/28) – 143 Gardner Rd

Reporting party states that sometime overnight someone had damaged the light pole in his yard. The light pole had been pulled off the ground and had been broken.

Arrest

  • Occurred between 7:00AM (12/21) and 5:06PM (12/26) – 113 Stedman St

Officers on patrol were dispatched to a report of a group disturbance. Upon arrival officers observed five individuals standing in the middle of the street talking loudly. After further investigation two of the individuals were placed under arrest for minors in possession of alcohol and possessing a forged MA ID card.

  • Occurred between 1:08AM (12/28) and 1:30AM (12/28) – 126 Harvard St

An officer on patrol stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for not being duly licensed.

  • Occurred at 3:23AM (12/28) – 284 Walnut St

Officers were dispatched to a report of a car alarm sounding. Upon arrival officers observed an intoxicated male standing next to the vehicle. After further investigation the individual was placed under arrest for being a disorderly person.

  • Occurred at 12:53AM (12/29) – Kent St/ Beech St

An officer on patrol stopped an individual who was seen suspiciously looking into several car windows. After further investigation the suspect was placed under arrest after an inquiry check revealed that the suspect had outstanding warrants.

Officers on patrol stopped an individual who matched the description of a male suspect seen indecently exposing himself. After further investigation the suspect was placed under arrest for open and gross lewdness.

December 19th - 22nd 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 1:40AM (12/19) – Beacon St/ Strathmore St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

  • Occurred at 10:41AM (12/20) – Warren St/ Boylston St

Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival officers met with the driver who appeared to be acting suspicious. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest after he was positively identified as a suspect in a recent shoplifting.

  • Occurred at 2:43AM (12/23) – 692 Washington St

Officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with an expired license and failure to stay within marked lanes.

  • Occurred at 2:36PM (12/21) – 900 Commonwealth Ave

Officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter being detained. Upon arrival officers met with the store manager who stated that the suspect had concealed several cosmetic products in his personal bag. The suspect was placed under arrest for shoplifting.

  • Occurred at 3:12PM (12/22) – 25 Washington St

An officer was dispatched to a report of a medical emergency. Upon arrival officers met with two individual who appeared to be under the influence of an illegal substance. After further investigation the suspects will be summoned to court for possession of a Class A substance.

Breaking and Entering/ Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 6:45PM (12/22) and 8:45PM (12/22) – 129 Aspinwall Ave

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that her passenger side window had been smashed. She noticed that her Garmin GPS Unit was missing from her vehicle.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred at 7:35PM (12/22) – School St/ Harvard St

Victim reported that he was engaged in a confrontation with another individual when the subject approached his vehicle and kicked his driver’s side taillight causing the lens to break. The suspect will be summoned to court for malicious damage.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:00AM (12/18) and 1:00PM (12/18) – 325 Goddard Ave

Victim reported that upon returning home she observed that someone had removed two diamonds from her wedding band which she left in her jewelry box. She also noticed that her prescription which was left on her bedside table was missing. She reports that her house is under renovations and that several workers have access to her home.

  • Occurred between 7:50PM (12/22) and 7:53PM (12/22) – 525 Harvard St

Officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifting. Upon arrival officers met with a store official who reported that a subject had attempted to flee the store with a coat without paying. The suspect is described as a white middle aged male, 5’8”, wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and a gold chain.

MV Theft

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (12/20) and 9:00AM (12/21) – 71 Egmont St

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that it was missing. The vehicle had been left in her assigned parking space and was locked. The vehicle is described as a white Honda Accord.

Robbery

  • Occurred at 8:40PM (12/19) – 1023 Beacon St

Officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival officers met with the victim who stated that while she was at an ATM and unknown suspect approached her, pressed an unknown object to her back and asked her for money. The suspect took $80 dollars in cash before fleeing the scene.

  • Occurred at 8:53AM (12/19) – 315 Harvard St

Officers were dispatched to a report of a bank robbery. Upon arrival officers met with bank officials who stated that a suspect had entered the bank, jumped over the counter and took an unknown amount of cash from the registers before fleeing. The suspect is described as a middle aged white male, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a dark colored mask over the lower part of his face. The Brookline Police Department and FBI Bank Robbery Task Force are continuing the investigation.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 9:00AM (12/19) and 5:00PM (12/19) – 46 Williams St

Victim reports that upon returning home she observed that her jewelry box was missing from her bedroom.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 4:00AM (12/19) and 4:28AM (12/19) – 39 Aspinwall Ave

An officer on patrol observed graffiti written on the garage door of a loading dock. The graffiti was written using black spray paint and is approximately 3 feet high.

December 17th 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:36AM (12/18) – Boylston St/ Eliot Ave

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for traveling at excessive speed. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 9:00AM (12/09) and 9:00AM (12/10) – 143 Gardner Rd

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he noticed that the ignition would not start. After having the car serviced he was informed by mechanics that several electrical wires to his vehicle had been cut. The total damage to the vehicle was $511.

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

  • Occurred at 1:09AM (12/17) – Harvard St/ Babcock St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle traveling with a defective headlight. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

December 15th 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 3:25PM (12/15) – 300 Harvard St

Officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter being held. Upon arrival officers met with store officials who stated that the suspect had concealed a pair of jeans in his pants before attempting to flee the store. The suspect was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

  • Occurred at 10:44AM (15/15) – High St/ Acron Rd

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle after it failed to stop for a stop sign. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for failure to stop for a stop sign and for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (12/12) and 9:30AM (12/13) – 615 Heath St

Victim reported that sometime overnight someone had taken one of his employee’s paychecks out of his desk located in his office. The office had been left unlocked during the day and it appears that only one check was taken.

  • Occurred at 12:34PM (12/15) – 525 Harvard St

Officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter being detained. Upon arrival officers met with a store official who stated that the suspect had concealed several clothing articles in her baby carriage before attempting to flee the store. The suspect will be summoned to court for shoplifting.

Attempted Larceny

  • Occurred at 10:00AM (12/15) – 1322 Beacon St

Police were dispatched to a report of an attempted larceny. Upon arrival officers met with a store official who stated that a male suspect fled the store after attempting to steal two cartons of cigarettes. The suspect is described as a middle - aged, black male with curly, slightly gray hair. The suspect was wearing a brown jacket with a white shirt underneath and blue jeans.

December 12th – 14th 2008 Police Reports

Burglary

  • Occurred between 2:00PM (11/24) and 10:15PM (12/14) – 50 Park St

Victim reported that upon returning home she observed that her storage unit had been broken into. She found that her fish shaped candle holder and several pieces of her Aerosmith memorabilia were missing.

  • Occurred between 12:00PM (12/12) and 9:52PM (12/12) – 12 Fuller St

Victim reported that upon returning home he observed that his apartment had been broken into. He observed that his Flashbook Westinghouse TV, his Macbook laptop, two digital cameras, an IPod and $30 were missing from his apartment. It appeared that entry was gained via his fire escape window.

  • Occurred between 5:43PM(12/12) and 7:29 (12/12) – 12 Fuller St

Victim reported that upon retuning home he observed that his apartment had been broken into. He observed that his Dell laptop, his grey Columbia backpack, a small wallet, and several Bank of America checks were missing. It appeared that entry was also gained via the fire escape window. This is the second incident to have occurred at this location.

  • Occurred between 8:00AM (12/12) and 6:20PM (12/12) – 5 Beals St

Victim reported that upon returning home she observed that the door to her apartment had been damaged. Upon entering her home she found that her Canon camera, Dell Laptop, and several jewelry items were missing.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred at 7:35PM (12/12) – 373 Harvard St

Victim reported that while at home she observed a subject enter her apartment through her bedroom window. After confronting the suspect, the suspect fled her apartment taking her Jitterbug cell phone.

  • Occurred between 1:30PM (12/14) and 5:30PM (12/14) – 89 Egmont St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his front passenger side window had been smashed. He noticed that his white IPod valued at $250 was missing.

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (12/13) and 9:27 (12/14) – 424 Walnut St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his driver’s side window had been smashed. He noticed that his Garmin GPS unit valued at $400 was missing from his front dashboard.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (12/10) and 6:05PM (12/10) – 302 Washington St

Victim reported that while he was shopping he had left his bicycle unsecured outside of the store. Upon returning to retrieve his bicycle he observed that it was missing. The bicycle is described as a green Civia touring bike valued at $2,500.

  • Occurred between 12:00PM (11/28) and 6:00PM (12/03) – 50 Park St

Officers were dispatched to a report of multiple larcenies in a building. After further investigation a suspect was arrested after officers retrieved multiple stolen items from his apartment. The suspect will be charged with two counts of breaking and entering, and six counts of larceny from a building.

Arrest

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

December 8, 2008 Police Report

Breaking and Entering/ Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 7:15PM (12/06) and 10:00AM (12/07) – 93 Perry St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that the passenger side window had been smashed. He noticed that his front console was opened and about $3 in loose change was missing.

  • Occurred at 11:00PM (12/03) – 39 Sears Rd

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that several of her belongings were missing. Missing items included two Cannon cameras totaling $900, three memory cards, a camera lens, and a camera bag. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 1:30PM (12/05) and 2:30PM (12/05) – 1655 Beacon St

Victim reported that while she was at Starbucks she had left her purse on her table. After purchasing some coffee she realized that her bracelet which was in her purse was missing. The bracelet is described as a sterling silver chain valued at $400.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8:30AM (12/08) and 4:15PM (12/08) – 2 Strathmore St

Victim reported that sometime in the evening someone had stolen her Mezuzah valued at $50 from the door frame of her apartment. This is the third incident to have been reported at this location in which Mezuzah’s have been stolen.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 9:08AM (12/08) – 76 Winchester St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:54PM (12/07) – 302 Harvard St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for obstructing traffic. Further investigation revealed that the driver was not duly licensed and had a default warrant. The driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 2:44AM (12/07) – Beacon St/ Corey Rd

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for having a defective exhaust. A driver’s license check revealed that the driver’s right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

  • Occurred at 12:06AM (12/07) – 1780 Beacon St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. Further investigation revealed that the driver was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 2:17AM (12/06) – Washington St/ White Pl

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle take a wrong turn into oncoming traffic. After stopping the vehicle further investigation revealed that the driver was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred ay 4:36PM (12/05) – 1440 Beacon St

Officers were dispatched to a report of an assault and battery. Upon arrival police meet with the victim who stated that he was in a confrontation with another subject when the subject became physically aggressive and hit him. The subject was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of assault and battery.

  • Occurred at 9:39AM (12/03) – St Paul St/ Sewall Ave

An officer on patrol stopped a motor vehicle after it failed to stop for a red light. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (12/06) and 4:32PM (12/06) – 525 Harvard St

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that her rear driver side window had been broken. She observed that her Garmin GPS unit valued at $240 and IPod were stolen.

  • Occurred between 3:55PM (12/06) and 3:59PM (12/06) – 10 Parkway RD

Reporting party stated that she heard a banging noise outside. After looking out her window she observed a middle aged, black male with black and grey hair, wearing a dark jacket, in her neighbor’s vehicle. After confronting the suspect, the suspect got into a light blue Toyota Camry and fled. After notifying the owner of the vehicle it appeared that a Garmin Street Pilot GPS unit had been taken.

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (12/05) and 7:30AM (12/06) – 487 Boylston St

Victim reported that sometime overnight someone entered her vehicle and took approximately $12 in loose change along with seven compact discs. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

  • Occurred between 12:13PM (12/03) and 1:13PM (12/03) – 313 Tappan St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that the lock on his van had been pried off. He noticed that his Magellan GPS unit valued at $350 was missing.

Breaking and Entering MV

  • Occurred between 2:45PM (12/07) and 4:05PM (12/07) – 171 Amory St

Reporting party stated that he observed a parked vehicle with its rear passenger side window smashed. Upon inspection it appeared that a travel bag had been removed from the vehicle and its contents had been spread out on the sidewalk. After contacting the owner of the vehicle it appeared that nothing was missing.

Graffiti

  • Occurred between 8:00PM (12/05) and 8:00AM (12/06) – 130 Longwood Ave

Reporting party stated that he observed graffiti written on the side of his building. The graffiti read “Chavez” and was written using red spray paint.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 8:00PM (12/05) and 10:45AM (12/06) – 1378 Beacon St

A store owner reports that upon returning to her store she observed that someone had poured oil on the front steps. There was also cement found on the front door lock.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 10:00AM (12/06) and 8:00AM (12/06) – 76 Babcock St

Victim reported that upon returning home she observed that her Mac laptop valued at $1000 was missing. After notifying her three roommates it appeared that all their laptops were taken from their rooms. Also missing was a white and gold Marc Jacobs watch valued at $210 and $25 of rolled quarters.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (12/04) and 7:42AM (12/05) – 1362 Beacon St

Officers were dispatched to a business on a report of a broken front window. Upon arrival police noticed that the front door window had been broken. The owner reported that $66.00 dollars was missing from the front desk area. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred at 2:03AM (12/05) – 48 Boylston St

Officers responded to a business alarm. Upon arrival officers observed that a window had been broken and found the front door open. An employee responded to check out the restaurant with an officer. It appeared that nothing was missing.

  • Occurred between 4:25PM (12/05) and 5:10PM (12/05) – 7 Naples Rd

Victim reported that upon returning home she observed that a bedroom window had been opened and found various items taken from several rooms in the house. Missing items included an IPod, an IPod home system, a Nikon camera, a duffel bag and several jewelry items.

  • Occurred between 8:30AM (12/05) and 6:40PM (12/05) – 1539 Beacon St

Victim reported that upon returning home she observed that her Mac laptop, IPod, IPod docking station, and Kodak digital camera were missing. Her roommate also reported that her Mac Laptop and IPod docking station were also taken from her bedroom. It appeared that entry was gained to the apartment via one of the bedroom window.

Attempted Burglary

  • Occurred at 11:20PM (12/05) – 18 Glenland RD

Reporting party stated that upon entering his unit’s basement he observed that the lock from his storage unit was missing. After checking his storage container, nothing appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred between 5:20PM (12/05) and 5:40PM (12/05) – 18 Fuller St

Victim reported that she was at home when she heard a noise coming from her bedroom window. After checking her bedroom she noticed that the bedroom window had been opened. A suspect could not be located.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 2:57PM (12/06) and 3:07PM (12/06) – 21 Station St

Victim reported that she went to a store and had left her bag unattended on a chair near the store’s entrance. Upon returning to retrieve her bag she observed that it was missing. The bag is described as a black duffel bag containing a cell phone and several personal cards.

  • Occurred between 9:00AM (12/05) and 7:00PM (12/05) – 1350 Beacon St

Store manager reports that while conducting inventory she discovered that a Nikon D60 digital camera valued at $649 was missing from the front display case in the store. There are no suspects at the time.

  • Occurred between 5:30PM (12/05) and 11:30PM (12/05) – 302 Dean Rd

Victim reported that upon returning to her work vehicle she observed that her pocketbook was missing. The pocketbook is described as a Coach pocketbook containing several personal cards. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

  • Occurred at 7:09PM (12/04) – 96 Franklin St

Victim reports that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that her rear license plate had been stolen.

  • Occurred at 8:01PM (12/03) – 900 Commonwealth Ave (CVS)

Officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter at CVS. Upon arrival officers met with the manager who reported that a female subject had placed beauty products in her purse. Store officials were able to recover the stolen products before the suspect fled the scene.

  • Occurred at 4:59PM (12/03) – 285 Harvard St

Victim reports that she was at a coffee shop and had placed her handbag at the back of her seat. She reported that after she left the shop she noticed that her wallet was missing from her purse. The wallet is red in color and contains several personal cards.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (9/06) and 12:00PM (9/11) – 1073 Beacon St

Victim reported that she observed jewelry was missing from her jewelry box. She had hosted a wedding event in her house earlier in the week where many guest had access to the rooms in her home.

Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her closet in her classroom. The wallet is described as a brown Banana Republic ladies wallet and contains several personal cards and papers.

Victim reports that an audio device was stolen out of the MIDI Lab. The device is reported to be valued at $450.

December 2nd 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12;29AM (12/02) – Boylston St/ Sumner Rd

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle that was swerving in between traveling lanes at excessive speed. After further investigation the driver placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

  • Occurred at 3:28PM (12/02) – Cypress St/ Walnut St

Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival police met with the driver who had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her. After further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Found Property

  • Occurred at 11:35AM (12/02) – Ward Pond

An officer retrieved an ignition key with the lock entry mechanism that was found in the Ward Pond area. For retrieval please contact the Brookline Police evidence officer at the (617)730-2252.

December 1st 2008 Police Reports

Burglary

  • Occurred between 8:00AM (12/01) and 7:49PM (12/01) – 32 Winchester St

Victim reported that upon returning home she noticed that her Macintosh laptop and Brookstone stereo were missing from her living room table. She also observed that several jewelry boxes in her bedroom had been rummaged through. It appeared that entry was gained through her rear bedroom window.

  • Occurred between 5:00PM (12/01) and 7:40PM (12/01) – 77 Marion St

Victim reported that upon returning home he observed that his 22” Samsung flat television valued at $450 was missing from his living room. It appeared that entry was gained through the bedroom window. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred between 5:30PM (12/01) and 6:15PM (12/01) – 154 Harvard St

Victim reported that she was at home when she observed that someone had entered her apartment and removed her HP Pavillion laptop valued at $1600 and purse containing her personal cards. It appeared that entry was gained through her bedroom window.

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (11/26) and 11:14AM (12/01) – 37 Auburn St

Reporting party states that someone had broken into eight storage bins on his property. It appeared that entry was gained into the basement through a window that had been removed. Nothing appeared to be missing from any of the units.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (11/30) and 8:30PM (12/01) – 2 Strathmore Rd

Victim reported that upon returning home he observed that his Mezuzah valued at $150 was removed from his apartment’s front door. The Mezuzah is described as having a mahogany base with a silver colored star in the center and has a parchment scroll with Hebrew writing inside.

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (11/30) and 5:00PM (12/01) – 2 Strathmore Rd

Victim reported that he also had a Mezuzah valued at $150 stolen from the front door of his apartment. The Mezuzah is described as having a bronze, woven pattern with green gem stones and a parchment enclosed through a small opening on the top. This is the second incident to have occurred at this location.

November 25th – 30th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 2:49AM (11/30) – 739 Boylston St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and possession of a Class E substance.

  • Occurred at 9:24PM (11/29) – Brookline Ave/ Parkway Rd

An officer on patrol stopped two individuals who were acting suspiciously in a parking lot. Further investigation revealed that the two subjects were in possession of illegal substances. They were placed under arrest for possession of a Class B and Class D substance.

  • Occurred at 3:00PM (11/29) – 247 Kent St

Police were dispatched to a report of man chasing two suspects who had just robbed a woman. Police with the help of witnesses were able to pursue and apprehend both suspects. A search revealed that one of the suspects was in possession of a knife. The suspects were placed under arrest and charged with armed robbery while masked.

  • Occurred at 2:51AM (11/29) – 39 Lagrange St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle after its occupants were acting suspiciously. Further investigation revealed that the driver was operating a motor vehicle without a license and had three active warrants. The driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred a 8:07PM (11/28) – Washington St/ Juniper St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver’s right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended. The driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 1:02PM (11/29) – 300 Harvard St

Police officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifter being detained. Upon arrival police met with store officials who stated that the suspect had placed several clothing articles in her purse. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

  • Occurred at 11:43AM (11/27) - 89 Marion St

Officers on patrol stopped two individuals who were acting suspiciously. Further investigation revealed that the suspects were in possession of a Class A substance and hypodermic needles. The suspects were both placed under arrest.

  • Occurred between 12:43AM (11/26) – 80 Boylston St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the vehicle further investigation revealed that the driver’s right to operate a motor vehicle had been suspended. The driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred between 4:12PM (11/25) and 6:35PM (11/25) – Brookline Ave/ Aspinwall Ave

Officers responded to a report of a car accident. Upon arrival police met with one of the drivers who had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. Further investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He will be summoned to court for operating under the influence of alcohol, and driving to endanger.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:00PM (11/29) and 3:00PM (11/30) – 77 Mason (43)

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that her passenger side door was slightly open. She noticed that her glove compartment had been rummaged through and found that her pair of Ralph Lauren sunglasses valued at $200 and a small flashlight was missing. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

  • Occurred between 11:30AM (11/30) and 11:50AM (11/30) – 1773 Beacon St

Victim reported that she had reached into her purse to retrieve her wallet when she observed that it was missing. She reported that she had left her purse unattended on a church pew during Sunday service at All Saint Parish. The wallet contained personal cards, a check book and $20 in cash.

  • Occurred between 10:00AM (11/26) and 12:00PM (11/28) – 79 Buckminster Rd

Victim reported that after viewing his online bank statements he observed that there were two suspicious checks in his account. He later noticed that two checks had been taken from his checkbook located in his kitchen. He informed officers that there are several people working in and around his house. A follow up investigation is being conducted.

  • Occurred between 2:30PM (11/27) and 3:00PM (11/27) – 210 Harvard St

Reporting party states that he observed that his IPod and IPod Inmotion sound dock were missing from the United Parish building where it was used to provide music for their Thanksgiving dinner party. The entire system is valued at $500.

  • Occurred between 9:34AM (11/16) and 9:34(11/23) – 33 Pond Ave

Victim reported that upon returning home from vacation he observed that $105 in cash was missing from his nightstand. He informed officers that management had allowed contractors to do work in his apartment while he was away. A follow – up investigation is being conducted.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 6:00AM (11/26) and 11:30AM (11/30) – 42 Station St

Victims reported that upon arriving home they discovered that their two flat screen TV’s had been stolen. Their AOC Envision TV valued at $400 was taken from their spare room, and their Trutech TV valued at $400 was taken off their kitchen wall. The mounting unit valued at $75 was also missing. It appeared that entry was gain using the bedroom window.

  • Occurred between 1:00PM (11/26) and 6:08PM (11/26) – 168 Winchester St

Victims reported that upon returning home they observed that one of their side windows had been broken. Upon entering their home they observed that their digital camera, Dell Laptop, and two IPods were missing. A silver bracelet and $40 in cash was also missing. They also noticed that their green Toyota was stolen from the driveway.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (11/29) and 11:00AM (11/30) – 696 Washington St

Reporting party states that upon returning to his business he observed that the front door window had been shattered. It appeared that there was no attempt to enter the premises.

  • Occurred between 5:30PM (11/28) and 10:30AM (11/29) – 26 Holly Lane

Reporting party states that upon returning to her vehicle she observed damage done to the rear of her vehicle. It appeared that someone had keyed the vehicle.

Breaking and Entering/ Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 1:00PM (11/28) and 11L00AM (11/29) – 50 Franklin St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he discovered that his glove compartment had been rummaged through and found its contents spread throughout the vehicle. It appeared that an unknown amount of change was missing from the car’s ashtray.

  • Occurred between 10:00PM (11/28) and 7:00AM (11/29) – 227 Cypress St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his passenger side window had been smashed. He noticed that his vehicle had been rummaged through and found two cassette tapes missing.

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (11/27) and 7:30PM (11/27) – 197 Kent St

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his driver’s side window had been smashed. He noticed that his portable Plenio GPS Unit valued at $500 was taken from the dashboard of the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 7:30PM (11/25) and 9:45PM (11/25) – 1 Pearl St

Victim reported that upon retuning to her parked vehicle she observed that her front passenger side window had been smashed. She noticed that her Tom Tom GPS unit valued at $350 was missing.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Occurred between 2:00PM (11/28) and 7:40PM (11/28) – 85 Egmont St

Reporting party states that upon returning to retrieve his company vehicle he observed that it was missing. The vehicle is described as a white Ford Econoline van with “Northeast Electrical and Mechanical” written on the sides.

Found Property

  • Occurred between 1:25PM (11/25) and 2:00PM (11/25) – Beacon St/ Harvard St

November 24th 2008 Police Reports

Larceny

  • Occurred at 1:30PM (11/24) – 1317 Beacon St

Police officers were dispatched to a report of a shoplifting. Upon arrival police met with store officials who reported that a suspect had concealed several food products under her clothes and then attempted to leave the store. The suspect will be summoned to court shoplifting.

Graffiti

  • Occurred at 9:33AM (11/19) – 27 Harvard St

Reporting party states that upon returning to his building he observed graffiti written on the silver post of the front entrance. The graffiti read “Shows” and was written using blue marker.

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:08AM (11/24) – Boylston St/ Chestnut Hill Ave

An officer on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the vehicle further investigation revealed that the driver had an active warrant. The driver was placed under arrest.

November 21st – 23rd 2008 Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 10:10AM (11/23) – 45 Boylston St

An officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle for having an obstructed license plate. Further investigation revealed that the driver had a fake inspection sticker placed on the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest for possessing and procuring a Massachusetts inspection ticket, and for having an obstructed license plate.

  • Occurred at 3:10PM (11/22) – 18 Harvard St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for having a rejected inspection sticker. Further investigation revealed that driver had two default warrants and was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for both warrants and operating after suspension.

  • Occurred at 9:40AM (11/22) – 448 Harvard St

Officers on patrol observed a vehicle traveling at excessive speed. After stopping the vehicle an inquiry revealed that the driver had an active warrant. The driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 9:31PM (11/21) – 404 Harvard St

Police officers were dispatched to a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival police spoke with the reporting party who stated that two of his employees were engaged in a verbal dispute that became physical. One of the employees was placed under arrest and charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a knife.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 8:30PM (11/22) and 12:10AM (11/23) – 1 Centre St Lot West

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that all four side windows of his vehicle had been removed. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (11/20) and 10:00PM (11/21) -16 Kennard Rd

Reporting party states that someone had removed the left rear tire to her son’s vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the side driveway and was found with a cinder block under the axle.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (11/22) and 11:36PM (11/22) – 1386 Beacon St

Victim reported that upon returning to his apartment he observed that his front door was wide open. After inspecting the apartment it appeared that nothing was missing. This is the second breaking and entering incident that has occurred at this unit.

  • Occurred at 8:31PM(11/22) – 22 Kenwood St

Police officers were dispatched to a report of a residential alarm. Upon arrival officers observed that the rear porch window had been broken. After contacting the homeowners it appeared that two jewelry boxes containing various jewels were missing from the second floor bedroom.

  • Occurred between 3:00PM (11/21) and 5:00PM (11/21) – 106 Colbourne St

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that her green canvas pocketbook containing her wallet, $2020 in cash, and a Canon digital camera were missing. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

  • Occurred between 6:00PM (11/20) and 7:15AM (11/21) – 1151 Beacon St

Victim reported that sometime overnight someone had smashed the front driver side window of his vehicle. He observed that his silver Delphi satellite radio valued at $300 was missing from his center console.

Police on patrol observed a vehicle with its passenger side window broken. Officers were unable to determine if anything was taken from the vehicle.

Police on patrol observed a parked vehicle with its passenger side window smashed. Upon inspecting the vehicle it appeared that the glove and armrest compartments had been rummaged through.

Victim reported that upon returning to her vehicle she observed that her front passenger side window had been smashed. It appeared that nothing was missing from the vehicle.

Victim reported that sometime overnight someone had smashed the front passenger window of his vehicle. He noticed that his black GPS unit valued at $250 was missing from his glove compartment. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

  • Occurred at 3:01AM (11/21) – 65 Thatcher St

Police on patrol observed a parked vehicle with its front passenger side window smashed. It appeared that the suspect had rummaged through the vehicle’s center console and glove compartment. In the same area police observed another vehicle with its front passenger side window smashed. It appeared that nothing was missing from this vehicle.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (11/21) and 8:30AM (11/22) – 64 University Rd

Reporting party stated that sometime over night someone had egged and thrown a pink and black substance all over the front and left side of his home.

An officer on patrol stopped a driver for traveling at excessive speed. Further investigation revealed that the driver’s license had been suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension and speeding.

  • Occurred at 10:38AM (11/20) – 1297 Beacon St

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest.

  • Occurred at 1:42AM (11/21) – Heath St/ Boylston St

An officer on patrol pulled over a driver after observing the vehicle swerve in between travel lanes. After stopping the driver further investigation revealed that the driver was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest.

Breaking and Entering/ Larceny MV

  • Occurred between 1:30PM (11/12) and 3:52PM (11/20) – Hammond St/ Boylston St

Victim reported that upon returning to his parked vehicle he observed that his passenger side window had been smashed. He noticed that his Garmin GPS unit valued at $150 was taken from under his driver’s seat. The charger and window mount were also removed from the vehicle.

Attempted Breaking and Entering/ Larceny

  • Occurred at 3:01AM (11/21) – 65 Thatcher St (Rear)

Victim reported that upon returning to his vehicle he observed that his front passenger side window had been shattered. He noticed that his glove compartment and center console had been disturbed. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Attempted Robbery

  • Occurred at 2:16AM (11/21) – 74 Egmont St

Victim reported that she was walking home when an unknown suspect approached her and attempted to take her purse. After failing to take the purse the suspect fled the scene. The victim was unable to get a description of the suspect.

Found Property

  • Occurred at 11:30PM (11/19) – 43 Harrison
