BIKE THEFT - Officer responded to a call on Harvard St. The victim shared that they had left their bike unsecured outside a library for approximately 15 minutes. When they returned, the bike and the helmet were gone.
Tuesday, July 13
FRAUD- Officers responded to a report of fraudulent bank transactions when the victim located an unauthorized charges. They were able to stop the charge and reported the activity to the police and bank fraud department. They were advised to check all their accounts to ensure no other suspicious activity.
Wednesday, July 14
FOUND PROPERTY - Officers responded to Centre St. for a report of found property. Officers were given a wallet and brought it to the station for safekeeping.
FRAUD- Officers responded to a report of fraudulent use of credit card when the victim received a package they had not purchased. They were able to stop the charge and have not found any further charges on their credit card statements.
Saturday, July 17
ID FRAUD - Officers responded to an unemployment fraud report where an unemployment benefit claim was made in the victim's name. They cancelled the card and alerted the bank. They were advised to check all accounts for suspicious activity.
Sunday, July 18
BIKE THEFT - Officer responded to a call on Dwight St for a reported bike theft. The victim shared their bike had been left unlocked on the rear porch and was gone upon their return. Officers are checking surveillance in the area.
