12/2/2015-12/3/2015

On December 2nd, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Strathmore Road for a past report of a theft of a package. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from a delivery service stating his package had arrived; however, the package was missing. 

On December 2nd, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Kent St. for a report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving an electronic notification from a delivery service stating his packages had arrived. On his arrival home, he discovered the two packages were opened and the contents had been removed.  

On December 3rd, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Garrison Rd. for a report of past report of a package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving an electronic notification from a delivery service stating her package had arrived. On her arrival home, she discovered the package was opened and the items had been removed. 


On December 3rd, an officer while out on patrol on the West Roxbury Parkway, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed well over the post speed limit. The officer activated his emergency overhead lights and initiated a safe traffic stop on Horace James Circle. The officer advised the driver as to the reason for the stop and requested the operator’s license and registration.  A check of the driver’s information revealed she had a warrant out for her arrest. The individual was placed under arrest without incident.

11/30/2015-12/1/2015

On November 30th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Harvard St. for a theft at a local business. On scene, the victim stated his tablet had been removed from his seat while he briefly went into the restroom.  The store manager reported witnessing an individual remove the tablet and provided the police with a description of the subject which was broadcasted over the radio. Officers were able to locate the subject matching the description traveling on Harvard St.  The officers stopped the subject and advised him as to the reason for the stop. Officers read subject his Miranda Rights and consented to a search of his bag. The search revealed the victims tablet and the suspect was immediately placed under arrest.

On November 30th, an officer was dispatched to an apartment on Tappan St. for a past report of an breaking and entering. On scene, the victim reported her apartment was broken into 11/25/2015-11/29/2015, while the victim and her roommate were away. Victim reported missing several handbags, jewelry, and a laptop was missing.

On December 1st, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Beacon St. for a report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported noticing on 11/30/2015 that several pieces of jewelry were missing from her apartment. There are no signs of forced entry, and the victim stated several people have access to her apartment and suspects on of these people have taken it.

On December 1st, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Brookline Police Station for a past report of a larceny. The victim reported being a victim of a robbery that occurred on Washington St. after exited an MBTA bus. The victim reported witnessing a man from across the street run and knocked the subject to the group and grabbed her pocketbook. The victim was able to give a description of the suspect. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 1st, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Beacon St. for a report of a package theft. On scene, the victim stated the delivery service sent her a notification that the package had arrived on 11/30/2015. On her arrive home, she noticed the package had been ripped open and the contents of the box were missing.

On December 1st, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Stanton Rd. for a past breaking and entering. On scene the victims reported missing entering their home to find the victims bedroom had been ransacked. Victims report nothing missing at this time. This matter is still under investigation.

On December 1st, an officer was dispatched to a residence for a report of a past breaking and entering. On scene the victim reporting leaving the house for a couple of hours to run some errands. On her arrival home, she noticed somebody had entered her home through a rear window and had taken her jewelry. This matter is still under investigation.

11/24/2015-11/29/2015

On November 24th, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Beacon St for a report of a past package theft. On scene, the victim reported receiving a notification from the delivery service that her package had arrived a couple days prior; however, no package was present.

On November 25th, an officer assigned to the front desk of the Brookline Police Department received a call from the manager of a car dealership, who wanted to speak with a detective. The reporting person was transferred to a detective and reported a customer had walked in wanting to get mechanic work done on his vehicle. The manager received a phone call from a detective from a Police Department in Virginia that the man had several warrants for his arrest. The Brookline Police detective contacted the Virginia detective for more information on the subject. At approximately 1330 hours, Brookline Dispatch received a call from the dealership manager who stated the subject wanted to pick up his vehicle.  Several officers arrived on scene and located the subject on Boylston St. Subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Department for booking.

On November 27th, an officer was dispatched to a business on Harvard St. for a report of a dispute. On scene, the stores security reported getting into a verbal argument with a customer and that customer slashed one of the tires to his vehicle. The victim gave a description of the subject, after receiving multiple reports from several witnesses who saw the subject slash the tire. This matter is still under investigation.

On November 28th, an officer while on patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Kent Street driving considerably faster than the posted speed limit.  A query of the vehicles registration revealed the owner of the vehicle had a suspended license and the inspection sticker on the vehicle was expired.  The officer activated his emergency blue lights and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Brookline Avenue and Aspin wall Avenue. The officer advised him as to the reason and requested the operator’s license and registration. A check with Brookline Dispatch confirmed the operator’s license was suspended. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Department.

On November 28th, an officer was dispatched to a business on Beacon St. for a past report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported going to pay for her items at the cash register and noticed her wallet was missing from her purse. The victim described missing her license, checks, debt and credit cards. The victim was advised to cancel credit cards.


On November 29th, an officer was dispatch to Amory St. for a past report of a larceny. On scene, the victim reported going playing at a football game and his cell phone missing after allowing his friend to use the cellphone to contact his father. The victim told the friend to place it on top of a locker next to his.  On his arrival to the locker, the victim noticed the phone was missing. The victim’s mother attempted to track the phone; however, it had been turned off.
