Oct. 21st

Arrest

Occurred 12:46 AM (10/21) – Boylston St. / Chestnut Hill Ave.

While conducting a motor vehicle stop, police observed another motor vehicle travel through a red traffic light and stop in a right travel and breakdown lane. Officers subsequently approached the vehicle and conducted a field investigation. Upon doing so, officers discovered the driver passed out and an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance, police placed him under arrest for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred 8:22 AM (10/21) – Lagrange St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that her right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been revoked. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation and are additionally charging her husband for knowingly allowing an improper person to operate his vehicle.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 7:00 PM (10/20) and 7:00 AM (10/21) – Fuller St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during the previous night, his car was broken into. Items reported stolen include an IPod and buck knife. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 3:00 PM and 3:40 PM (10/21) – Green St. / Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny from a local coffee shop. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was sitting at a table; her purse was taken from the back of her seat. The purse contained the victim’s wallet, cell phone, keys, credit cards, and cash. Officers were informed that there is video surveillance in the store and will be following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred 2:58 PM (10/21) – Brookline Pl.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. Officers met with the victim who stated that sometime while her vehicle was parked in a local parking garage, an unknown suspect ripped her front license plate off her car. Police are following up on the case.

Oct 20th

Arrest

Occurred 10:19 AM (10/20) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a female shoplifter fleeing on a bicycle from a local store. Officers were given a description of the suspect and were able to immediately locate her. A search of the suspect was conducted and officers discovered several stolen items, drugs and drug paraphernalia on her person. The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest for the above crimes and for an active arrest warrant.

Occurred 5:31 PM (10/20) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party, the store’s loss prevention officers who stated that the suspect was observed stuffing store items into his jacket. Officers viewed surveillance footage which showed the suspect shoplifting and subsequently placed him under arrest.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 10:00 PM (10/19) and 11:03 AM (10/20) – Juniper St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that the previous night he parked his car in his assigned spot and when he returned the following morning, he discovered cash and his cell phone missing from the console. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 6:00 PM and 8:27 PM (10/20) – Kent St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when he returned to his parked vehicle, he discovered one of his windows had been smashed. Items reported stolen include a Tom Tom GPS and two IPods. Police filed a report.

Fraud

Occurred between 3:57 PM (10/13) and 4:31 PM (10/20) – Russell St.

Police responded to a report of an internet fraud. Officers met with the victim who stated that a couple of weeks prior, she logged onto an internet site to make some extra money as a “mystery shopper”. Upon doing so, she was notified by her bank that her account had been overdrawn and discovered she had received a fraudulent check from the website. Police filed a report and are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 5:00 PM (10/18) and 5:30 PM (10/20) – Thornton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny of a license plate. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that as he was removing groceries from the back of his vehicle, he discovered his rear license plate was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Oct 19th

Arrest

Occurred 2:20 AM (10/19) – St. Mary’s St. / Mountfort St.

While on patrol, police observed a motor vehicle with defective equipment and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and subsequently conducted a field investigation. A search of the vehicle revealed numerous items consistent with narcotic use and distribution. Police subsequently placed the subject under arrest for possession with intent to distribute in a school zone.

Occurred 2:44 PM (10/19) – Heath St. / Holly LA

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been suspended. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after suspension.

Occurred 9:08 PM (10/19) – Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, officers met with the stores’ loss prevention officer who stated that the suspect was observed on video surveillance grabbing several store items and concealing them down his pants. Police subsequently placed the suspect under arrest for shoplifting.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 8:00 PM (10/18) and 7:30 AM (10/19) – Bellingham Rd.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that sometime while his car was parked in front of his house, an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and stole his wallet. Police observed the vehicle’s front passenger side window to be smashed and are following up on the case.

Burglary

Occurred between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM (10/19) – Toxteth St.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering from a local residence. The victim stated that when he arrived home, he discovered several items missing from his kitchen area including a laptop computer, two cell phones, four IPods, and a digital camera. Officers inspected the home and believe the suspect gained entry by smashing a window and entering through a rear door. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 6:04 PM (08/21) and 6:08 PM (10/19) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud at a local business. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that two subjects came into her business and used a gift certificate she believed was bought online with someone else’s credit card. She informed officers that prior to this she received paperwork from a female victim stating that her credit card was fraudulently used to buy a gift certificate. Police are following up on the case.

Oct 18th

Arrest

Occurred 10:19 AM (10/20) – Harvard St.

Oct. 14th – Oct. 17th

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM (10/03) – Harvard St.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that while her car was parked in a local store’s parking lot, an unknown suspect entered it and stole her HP Placard. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 9:00 AM (10/08) and 12:07 PM (10/15) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a fraud. Officers spoke with the victims who stated that when they received payment for furniture they were selling online, they discovered that the buyer had given them a fraudulent check. A report was filed and police are following up on the case.

Motor Vehicle Theft

Occurred 10:56 PM (10/15) – Glen Rd.

Police responded to a report of a stolen moped. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated that while he was at his girlfriend’s house, he chained his moped to the railing alongside her building. When he returned, he discovered that it was missing. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage


Occurred between 7:00 PM (10/11) and 7:00 AM (10/12) – Blake Rd.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a local residence. Officers met with the victim who stated that she discovered damage to the glass pane of a front window that had not been there a day prior. Police believe this incident may be related to similar cases that have occurred in the area and are following up on several leads.



Oct. 13th

Arrest

Occurred between 4:41 PM and 5:00 PM (10/13) – Allandale Rd. / Grove St.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that his right to operate a motor vehicle in Mass. had been revoked. Police subsequently placed the driver under arrest for operating after revocation, speeding and passing in a no passing zone.

Occurred 5:42 PM (10/13) – River Rd. / Brookline Ave.

While on patrol, police observed two motor vehicles parked in a posted no parking zone and in the process of conducting a drug transaction. Police subsequently approached the vehicle and executed a field investigation. Officers discovered several items on two male subjects consistent with narcotics use and distribution and placed them under arrest. One of the males was additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 11:30 PM (10/12) and 10:00 AM (10/13) – Warren St.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The victim stated that while his vehicle was parked in his garage, several items were stolen from the vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Assault

Occurred between 11:10 AM and 11:20 AM (10/13) – Greenough St.

Police responded to a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while she was sitting on a bench in front of the high school, a female subject known to her approached her in an aggressive manner, assaulted her, and broke her glasses. Police are requesting the suspect to be summonsed into Brookline District Court for assault and battery and malicious destruction of property.
