Arrests:

Occurred at 9:34 AM (6/16) – Harvard Street/ Marion Street

Officers were patrolling the area of Harvard Street when they observed a Massachusetts registered vehicle conducting an illegal U-turn and operating in the wrong direction. Officers conducted a traffic stop for an illegal U-turn. Upon investigation officers queried the Massachusetts license to operate and learned that the license to operate was expired. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating without a license, and an illegal U-turn.

Occurred at 3:27 PM (6/16) – Clinton Road/ Dean Road

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person that was looking into house in the area. Dispatch gave a description of a black male wearing a white cutoff tee shirt, dark backpack, and riding a yellow bike. While in the area officers observed a male matching the description given. When officers attempted to speak with the subject, he got on his bike and attempted to flee the area. After a short foot pursuit officers were able to catch up with the subject. The subject was placed under arrest for resisting arrest. After a short interview and inventory search of the subject, officers learned that the subject had three cell phones and a few credit cards on his person that did not belong to him. The subject was subsequently charged with Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, two counts of receiving stolen property over the cell phones, and two counts of receiving stolen property over the credit cards.

Occurred at 1:13 (6/17) – Jamaica Way/ Pond Avenue

Officers were patrolling the area when they observed a vehicle go through a red light. Officers conducted a traffic stop due to the red light violation. Upon the stop officers queried the operator’s license which came back as inactive. Officers informed the subject and he was subsequently placed under arrest for operating with a not duly license.

Arrests:

Occurred between 7:52 PM (6/15) and 8:35 PM (6/15) – Beacon Street/ Marion Street

Officers were patrolling the area of Beacon Street when they conducted a traffic stop for an expired registration sticker. Upon investigation officers asked the subject for his license and registration. This is when officers learned that the subject had a Massachusetts license to operate that had been suspended. Along with the suspension of the subject’s license, the vehicle’s registration was revoked as well. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license and registration.

Assault and Battery:

Occurred at 6:51 PM (6/15) – Harvard Street

Officer responded to a report of assault and battery. Upon arrival officers learned that there was a fair at the Devotion school with rides and games being held. Two young teens were on a jumping ride when they were asked to exit the ride. Words were exchanged and a verbal argument ensued. When the teens did not exit the jumper right away the man working the ride grabbed one of the victims by the shoulder and physically removed him from the ride. Both parties were interviewed and officers learned that no medical attention was needed. The subject was advised and summonsed to court for simple assault and battery.

Possession:

Occurred at 9:32 PM (6/14) – Amory Park

At approximately 9:30 PM on 6/14/11 officers were on bike patrol at Amory park when they observed a vehicle parked after the hours of operation in a local park. The vehicle appeared to have four occupants inside. Officers approached the vehicle to advise them that Amory Park was closed to the public after dusk. When the officer approached the vehicle he observed a male subject rolling a cigar with a substance inside that is believed to be marijuana. The officers also observed other sources of marijuana and paraphernalia. All four subjects of the vehicle were issued By law citations for possession of less than on ounce of marijuana and sent on their way.


Burglary:

Occurred between 7:00 AM (6/14) and 7:30 PM (6/14) – Marion Street

Officers responded to a report of burglary. Upon arrival officers learned that the tenant of the apartment returned home to find pry marks on the front door. There were three laptops missing along with cash.
Flag Day Parade this Sunday June 19th

There will be a road race starting at 10:00 Harvard Street will be closed from 525 Harvard to 2 Harvard Street. Washington Street will be closed from Park Street to Boylston St. Cypress Street will be closed from Boylston Street to Washington Street. All side streets will be affected. After the race most of the course will re-open until 12:00. At this time the course will close for the parade to begin. Roads should be open at 2:00PM. Expect delays on Beacon Street at the Intersection of Harvard Street during the parade. Along the course there will be a no parking ban, posted Saturday night. Vehicles in violation on Sunday morning will be towed. Still time to join in on the road race that day. Sign up at Cypress Park that morning 9:00. Arrests:

Occurred at 11:14 PM (6/9) – Chestnut Street

Officers were patrolling the area when they observed a male subject that is know to them for having a no trespass order in this area. Officers stopped the subject and informed him about the trespass order. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for trespassing.

June 10th- 13th

Arrests:

Occurred between 12:27 AM (6/12) and 1: 17 AM (6/12) – West Roxbury Parkway/ VFW Parkway

Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject’s license to operate in Massachusetts was suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension. The subject was issued uniformed citations for speeding, failure to stop at a red light, and defected equipment.

Occurred between 4:14 PM (6/12) and 4:55 PM (6/12) – Beacon Street/ James Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a suspended license status. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject had provided a false name due to the suspension status. The subject was subsequently placed under arrests for operating after suspension and providing a false identification.

Occurred at 6:52 PM (6/12) – South Street/ Newton Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for an illegal lane change and failure to stop for a stop sign. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject was operating without a proper Massachusetts license. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating without a license. Upon the booking process officers learned that the male subject had given a false name/ alias. He was additionally charged with providing a false identification.

Occurred between 4:20 AM (6/13) and 4:23 AM (6/13) – Freemans Street

Officers responded to a report of threats and robbery. Officers responded to both the reporting person’s location as well as conducted a traffic stop with the suspects of the robbery. Officer learned that three males had hired an escort service. Upon the arrival of the females, an argument ensued due to the fact that the females were not the same as the males had requested. During the argument the two females assaulted the males, took their money, and fled. Officers conducted a traffic stop of the suspected vehicle and the victims confirmed the identity of the suspects. The two females and the male driver were all subsequently placed under arrest. The male driver was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant. One female was placed under arrest for unarmed robbery, threats to commit a crime, and possession of a class E substance. The second female was placed under arrest for unarmed robbery, and a default warrant.

Robbery:

Occurred between 12:01 AM (6/13) and 12:03 AM (6/13) – Beacon Street

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. Upon arrival officers learned that the two reporting males had stopped at a bank to drop off money in the drop off deposit box. When one male approached the bank two unknown males, the suspects, approached the victim and began assaulting him in order to retrieve the bag of money. The suspects injured the victim, retrieved the bag and fled. Officers conducted a search in the area for the suspects but were unsuccessful.
