11:59 am: Officers were dispatched to an address on Hammond Street for a report of a larceny of a toolbox. The victim stated he left his toolbox behind his vehicle at approximately 9:30 am in the lot of the address on Hammond Street. At approximately 10:00 am, he noticed the toolbox was missing. The party stated he did notice a white truck in the parking lot near his vehicle. He explained that he did not note any suspicious activity in the parking lot while he was by his vehicle.

5:26 pm: While on routine patrol on Harvard Street, a query of a vehicle travelling south on Harvard Street revealed the registered owner to have an expired/non-renewable driver’s license. Officers visually confirmed the operator of the vehicle was the registered owner and a traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Harvard and Auburn Street. The operator stated he was the registered owner and supplied his license. Brookline Dispatch confirmed the registration to be active/non-renewable and the license to be expired/non-renewable. The subject was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle with an Expired License and escorted back to the station where he was later booked and advised of his rights. His vehicle was turned over to a friend with his permission.
