7/30 - 7/31

Sector 1

Not Duly Licensed: 7/30/2013 at 5:13 p.m. – Amory St.

An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Armory St. A query revealed the driver was not properly licensed. The suspect was placed under arrest for being Not Duly Licensed and Failure to Stop.


Sector 2

Fraud: 7/30/2013 at 11:27 a.m. – Kent St.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on Kent St. after receiving a report of a scam. The victim reported a man had contacted her via phone claiming to be the Attorney General of the Consumer Protection Bureau and that she was the winner of $4.5 million dollars from the American Protection Sweepstakes. The victim was informed that in order to collect her winnings, she must first wire money to banks in Nicaragua and Costa Rica in order to cover the taxes of the winnings. The victim proceeded to do so, but soon after had suspicions about the company. After making contact with the suspect, the victim was informed that she could get her money back if she wired more money to the company to expedite the process. At this point, the victim made contact with the police. The matter is currently under investigation.

Sector 5

Burglary: 7/30/2013 at 9:00 a.m.- 6:41 p.m. – Brington Rd.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on Brington Rd. after receiving a report of a past Breaking and Entering. The victim stated she had discovered the front door open and a pane of glass on the front door broken upon arriving home. After inspecting the home she discovered jewelry and silverware were missing. Neighbors did not report hearing or seeing anything unusual that day. The matter is currently under investigation.

Sector 9

O.U.I.L: 7/30/2013 at 6:14 p.m. – Shaw Rd./ Alberta Rd.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Alberta and Shaw Rd. The officer observed that the driver seemed confused and her eyes were glassy. A bottle of alcohol was clearly visible in the purse of the passenger. A query revealed the driver was operating under a suspended license. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspended License and Operating Under the Influence of Liquor.


Burglary: 7/30/2013 at 4:20 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. – South St.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on South St. after receiving a report of a Breaking and Entering. The victims stated they returned home to find it ransacked. A rear window had been forced open in order to gain entry into the home. Several items were taken. Neighbors did not report hearing or seeing anything suspicious. A suspect has not been apprehended thus far.
