7/27-7/28

O.U.I.L.: 7/27/2013 at 7:07 am- Beacon St./ Centre St.

An officer observed a vehicle make an unlawful left turn. A traffic stop was initiated on Beacon St. While pulling over the vehicle, the driver drove onto the curb hitting a light post. The driver appeared confused and was slurring her speech. A query revealed her Right to Operate had been suspended. Further investigation revealed a plastic cup containing an alcoholic beverage in the console of the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, Operating Recklessly, Operating After Suspension, and Violation of D.P.W. Rules and Regulations.

Sector 1

Operating After Suspension: 7/28/2013 at 4:34 pm- Harvard St.

An officer observed a vehicle run a red light. A traffic stop was initiated on Harvard St. A query revealed the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspension.


Sector 2

Burglary: 7/27/2013 at 9:30 – 10:30 am- Aspinwall Av.

An officer was dispatched to a home on Aspinwall Av. after receiving a report of a possible burglary. The victim stated a young man, whom she described as ‘scruffy’ with tan skin and a small build, came to her home asking if a man named Christian lived there. After being told there was no one there by that name, the man left. The victim thought little of the exchange until she left her home shortly after and upon returning, discovered the screen on her kitchen window was pushed up. Investigation of the home revealed the victim’s cell phone was missing, but no other valuables appeared to be removed. No suspect has been apprehended.

Sector 4

Assault: 7/27/2013 at 5:30 pm- Robinson Playground/ Cypress Street

Officers were dispatched to Robinson Playground on Cypress Street after receiving a report of three males fighting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness who said one of the suspects was attempting to hit another with a brick. The suspect was questioned, but highly intoxicated and denied the fight had occurred. The suspect was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and the other two men were sent on their way.


Robbery: 7/27/2013 at 8:11 pm- High St.

An officer was dispatched to High St. after receiving a report of a bicycle theft. The victim reported two young men whom he knew had approached him an hour earlier and forcibly taken his bicycle. Both suspects were located and the bike was recovered. The suspects were placed under arrest for Unarmed Robbery.


Sector 5

Burglary: 7/26/2013 at 8:15 am- 4:00 pm- Dean Rd.

An officer was dispatched to Dean Rd. after receiving a report of a Breaking and Entering. An investigation revealed the perpetrator gained entry through a bedroom window, which had been smashed. Further investigation revealed several bedrooms in the home were ransacked and some money and jewelry were reported missing. A suspect has thus far not been apprehended.


Sector 6

Operating After Suspension: 7/28/2013 at 2:28 am- Boylston St./ Dunster Rd.

An officer observed a vehicle traveling at an accelerated speed. A traffic stop was initiated on Boylston St. A query revealed the license of the driver had been suspended. He was placed under arrest for Operating After Suspension.
