7/31 - 8/1

Sector 1

Larceny: 07/30/2013 at 3:50-5:00 p.m. – Freeman St.

An officer was dispatched to Freeman St. after receiving a report of a past Larceny. The victim stated her son had received a call from an unknown male saying he had her cell phone and would leave it for her at the front desk of Dexter Park. When the victim attempted to claim her cell phone she was informed that it had already been picked up. An examination of the surveillance footage showed a female concierge accepting the phone, but no one else coming to claim the phone, which is thought to still be in the possession of the concierge. The matter is currently under investigation.

Sector 2

Warrant Arrest: 08/01/2013 at 12: 56 a.m. – Beacon St./ St. Mary St.

An officer observed a vehicle which had a B.O.L.O (Be On the Look Out) out of Boston on it for a hit and run accident which had occurred earlier in the day. A traffic stop was initiated on the corner of Beacon and St. Mary St. A query revealed the driver had a straight warrant out of Boston District 1 Court and was placed under arrest. 


Sector 4

Warrant Arrest: 07/31/2013 at 7:51 a.m. – Washington St./ Cypress St.

An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated on Washington St. A query revealed the driver of the vehicle had a warrant for Operating After a Suspended License out of the Brookline District Court. The driver was placed under arrest.


Sector 9

Assault: 07/30/2013 at 10:41 p.m. – Risley Rd.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on Risley Rd. in order to interview a victim about a past Assault with a Firearm. The victim stated he and a friend were driving toward the Allston area when a car pulled along side of them whose driver was wielding a gun, which they saw him load. The suspect was known to both victims and pointed the gun at their vehicle. Both vehicles continued along, eventually becoming separated. The victim and his friend proceeded to visit several bars in Allston, but later saw the suspect’s car once again parked on Pratt St. They did not observe anyone in the car and proceeded to approach it and look for the firearm. Then another vehicle pulled up whose driver shouted at them to get away from the car. The victims began to run away and several shots were fired at them as they ran. One victim was hit in the leg and transported to the hospital. The matter is currently under investigation.
