Police Reports 8/3-8/2

Traffic Offense: 8/3 at 3:05am – Auburn St
Officer requested a vehicle to be towed due to outstanding parking citations. Vehicle was towed and the license plates were seized.

Loud Music/Party:
8/3 at 12:15am – Freeman St
Officers were dispatched to Freeman Street for a report of a loud party. There was music and loud music coming from the apartment. Resident was issued a citation for violation of the Loud Party By-Law. Guests were asked to leave and the music was turned off.

Larceny: Occurred 8/2 between 7:00pm & 9:00pm at Longwood Ave
Victim claimed that a package, containing a newly ordered computer, was taken from the front foyer of her apartment building. The light in the foyer was not working at the time of this report.

Operating After Revocation: 8/2 at 7:32pm - Beacon St at Englewood Ave
Officer was monitoring traffic on Beacon Street while parked on Clinton Path when he saw a driver of a vehicle with a phone in his hand. A query of the driver’s registration revealed that his license was revoked. Driver was placed under arrest and was issued a citation for Operating After Revocation and Texting while operating a vehicle. License was seized and the vehicle was towed.

General Information: 8/2 at 4:04pm- Beacon Street and Winchester
Officer was dispatched for a report of a subject who was found passed out sleeping on a sofa in the public alley with a box with bottles of unopened hard liquor. Subject was treated by paramedics and consulted by a nurse who helps with victims of alcohol abuse.

Larceny: 8/2 at 3:19pm – Harvard St
A sales clerk reported a larceny from the jewelry case of a gold chain with a gold pendant attached. He left the suspect unattended upstairs and when he returned the customer was gone. Suspect is described as a black male, mid to late 20's, 6 feet tall, thin build, with a small gap between his front teeth. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, gray jeans, basketball shoes, silver band watch with a blue face, and a diamond stud in his left ear. Officers will conduct a follow-up investigation.

ID Fraud: Occurred 7/29
Victim received a call from her bank informing her that an unknown suspect had attempted to obtain credit cards on her name from two of their locations.  The suspect used her name, DOB and SS#, but used incorrect addresses.

Malicious Damage: 8/2 at 10:51am - Harvard St
Witness observed a suspect get out of her car and key the passenger side of a different vehicle. The vehicle belonged to the suspect’s employer. At approximately 10:30am, earlier that morning, the victim terminated the subject as an employee. Officer will request a warrant be issued, charging the subject with Malicious Damage of a motor vehicle.
