Police Reports 7/31

Attempted Larceny: 8/1 at 3:06am – St Paul St at Beacon St
Officer was approached by a witness who stated that a male subject- dark skinned male, approximately six feet tall, thin build, with short hair wearing a white colored shirt- appeared to have been attempting to break into a parked vehicle. Subject did not make entry into the car. The owner of the vehicle was notified and she confirmed that there were no missing items from her vehicle. There is no further information at this time.

Operating after Suspension: 8/1 at 2:10am – Harvard St at Beacon St
Officer pulled over a vehicle that made an illegal turn. The vehicle registration revealed that the operator’s license was suspended and the registration was revoked. Operator was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension


Accident: 7/31 at 9:04pm – Hammond St at Boylston St
Officer responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. Pedestrian was transported to the hospital for treatment of possible head, back, and neck injuries. Operator of the vehicle was issued a citation for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Not Duly Licensed: 7/31 at 6:00pm - Washington St. & Boylston St. & High St
Officer pulled over a vehicle that passed through a red light. A query of the registration revealed that a default warrant was issued. Operator was placed under arrest for the warrant and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Not Being Duly Licensed.

Motor Vehicle Accident: 7/31 at 5:19pm – Beacon St and Englewood Ave
Officer was dispatched for a traffic crash. Operator of one of the vehicle was issued a citation for a Red light Violation. Both of the drivers stated they had no personal injuries from the accident and refused any medical aid.

Graffiti Law: 7/31 at 8:30am – Washington St
A member of the building department reported a graffiti tag that was written on the wall outside the town hall. Photos were taken and follow ups will be conducted.
