April 22nd- 25th

Arrests:

Occurred at 3:06 AM (4/23) – Harvard Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for following too closely, failure to dim headlights, and marked lane violation. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject did not have a proper Massachusetts license to operate. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for not duly licensed, marked lane violation, following too closely, and failure to dim headlights.

Occurred at 5:13 PM (4/23) – Beacon Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a failed inspection sticker. Upon investigation officers learned that the subjects license was revoked. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating with an expired license.

Occurred at 5:27 PM (4/23) – Harvard Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a red light violation. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject’s license to operate in Massachusetts was suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and red light violation.

Occurred at 2:03 AM (4/24) – Park Drive/ Brookline Avenue

Officers were conducting foot patrol when they observed a male within a vehicle handling what seemed to be marijuana. Officer approached the vehicle, identified themselves as officers, and asked the driver to roll down his window. The male subject did not comply and began to drive away. The officers informed the police over the radio the description of the vehicle and the reason for the stop and additional officers who were in the area stopped the vehicle. Upon investigation officers observed a dangerous weapon in plain view of the vehicle. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for refusing to obey an officer, and carrying a dangerous weapon. Upon inventory of the vehicle, officers additionally found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and additional dangerous weapons. The subject was additionally charged with marijuana possession less than an ounce and another count of carrying a dangerous weapon.

Occurred at 2:58 AM (4/24) – Fisher Avenue/ Leicester Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for spinning the tires of a vehicle, and a dangerous left turn. Upon investigation officers detected an odor of liquor emanating from the vehicles interior. Officers learned that the subject was operating under the influence of alcohol and subsequently placed under arrests.

Occurred between 6:45 AM (4/24) and 7:10 AM (4/24) – Cypress Street/ Davis Avenue

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a marked lane violation. Upon investigation officers could detect a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and the subject. Officers learned that the driver was operating under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently placed under arrests.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle:

Occurred between 7:00 PM (4/21) and 7:57 AM (4/22) – Bonad Road

Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival officers learned that the vehicle had a smashed window and a purse was stolen. The purse was later recovered and no other damage was done to the vehicle.

Burglary:

Occurred between 10:00 PM (4/23) and 10:45 PM (4/23) – Alton Place

Officers responded to a report of burglary. Upon arrival officers learned that a basement window had been smashed and two laptops and cash were missing from the residence. There were footprints coming from the smashed window which were submitted as evidence. This case is under investigation.
