July 22nd Police Reports

ARREST

  • Occurred at 3:02AM (7/22)- 1454 Beacon Street

Geoffrey Meyer was arrested and charged with Operating while Under the Influence of Liquor as well as several traffic offenses.

Officer reported to the scene of a traffic collision. Meyer reported while returning from Boston he had “clipped” one of the cars. Clearly under the influence Meyer was arrested.

  • Occurred at 7:36PM (7/22)- 497 Boylston Street

Ashley Cox was arrested and charged with Operating after Suspension, various traffic offenses, as well as failure to appear in relation to the warrant out for her.

While on patrol officers noticed a car traveling 40mph in a posted 30mph zone. In addition the vehicle was operating without side mirror, or a rearview mirror. Upon further investigation it was learned that Cox had a suspended license, as well as a warrant out for her arrest. She was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred at 9:30AM (7/22)- 900 Commonwealth Avenue

Officers received a call of a shoplifting at CVS. Surveillance footage showed a man stealing several items from the store after picking up his prescription at the pharmacy. Officers were able to positively identify the man and he will be summoned to court for Shoplifting.

  • Occurred at 2:22PM (7/22)- 1309 Beacon Street

Officers reported to Trader Joes where a customer claimed she had been the victim of a pick pocket. She explained that she was approached by two black males who while talking to her apparently stole her wallet from her purse. She did not notice the wallet missing until after the subjects were gone. The males were described as black skinned wearing casual clothing. One of the subjects was described as 6’ tall thin with his age being late 30’s to early 40’s, the other males height was described as being around 5’9.

  • Occurred between 12:30PM and 5:30PM (7/22)- 1351 Beacon Street

Police responded to a call of a stolen wallet. The employee at Pier One Imports explained that she had placed her wallet in an employee locker in an area secured from customers. The victim reported she did not think any of the other employees were responsible for the theft.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred between 12:30AM and 10AM (7/22)- 30 Cramond Road

Officer received a call of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Victim reported sometime overnight his car window had been smashed and his radio had been stolen.

Assault

  • Occurred at 8:12PM (7/22)- 496 Washington Street

Police responded to the Vinfen-Brookline House for a report of an assault and battery. One of the patients had accused an employee of stealing something from him. When asked to return to his room the suspect grabbed the woman bent her pinky finger back breaking it and scratched her several times. Police detained the suspect and he will be summoned to court for Assault and Battery.
