July 19th Police Reports

Arrest

  • Occurred at 12:59AM (7/19)- Commonwealth Ave/Washington Street

Daniel Sutherland was arrested and charged with possession of a class D substance (marijuana).

Officers noticed a suspicious vehicle stopped at two different locations in the same neighborhood. Upon pulling the vehicle over and speaking with the driver a strong smell of marijuana emanated from the vehicle. In addition, while trying to retrieve his registration in the glove box officers noticed a glass container with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. Furthermore, officers noticed a bag that is typically used to house hash pipes in between the drivers seat and the passengers seat. Upon further investigation a glass pipe was found in the container. Subject was subsequently arrested.

  • Occurred at 1:24AM (7/19)- Harvard Street/Auburn Street

Eddie Vasquez Jr. was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a defective headlight, and operating a motor vehicle after a Suspended License.

Police noticed a vehicle traveling with only one headlight. Upon pulling the vehicle over it was learned the driver later identified as Vasquez did not have an active license, subject was subsequently arrested.

Attempted Larceny

  • Occurred at 6:24AM (7/19)- 1200 Beacon Street

Police responded to a parking garage where a vehicle had been broken into. Police noticed pry marks on the front passenger window. It appears as though while trying to pry the window open the window shattered. No items from the vehicle are noted as missing at this time.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 12:01AM and 7:05AM (7/19)- 0 Ewe Street

Victim reports all four wheel rims and tires were taken from the vehicle. The estimated cost of replacement is around $600.

  • Occurred at 4:30AM (7/19)- 1200 Beacon Street

Police responded to a call of a vehicle that had been broken into. Police noticed that the driver door had been pried open and a GPS navigation device was missing from the vehicle.

  • Occurred between 11AM and 1PM (7/17)- 64 Westbourne Terrace

Victim reported that his bicycle had been stolen from the basement of the Driscoll School. The bike is described as a 20 speed mountain bike which is silver in color; in addition a krypto lock is secured around the bicycle seat. The bike is valued at $260.
