July 13th Police Reports

ARREST

Occurred at 12:58PM (7/13)- 306 Harvard Street

Anthony Franklin was arrested and charged with attempted larceny.

Police responded to the Gap clothing store where employees had a shoplifting suspect in custody. The workers noticed Franklin put a shirt under his own shirt, and confronted him. They brought him to the manager’s office where police were called.

Assault

Occurred at 11:32PM- 33 Egmont Street

Victim came into the Police Department to report a recent assault. Victim said she had been arguing on the telephone with an acquaintance that she had a long history of disagreements with. The suspect then came to the victim’s house and which time she allegedly took two swings at the victim with one of the swings hitting the victim in the face. This case is still under investigation.

Larceny

Occurred between 2:44PM and 2:59PM- 211 Washington Street

Owner noticed two men enter his establishment and quickly exit moments later. Owner then noticed that a ladies watch valued at around $20 was missing from the window display. The suspects are described as 45-50 years old and both males. One of the males had short curly hair and was wearing a baseball cap.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 5PM (7/12) and 7:17AM (7/13)- 815 Newton Street

Victim reported that sometime over the night several of his construction vehicles were spray painted. The value of this damage is unknown.
