Police Reports 10/12-10/14

Operating After Suspension: 10/14 at 3:05pm – Warren St
Officer effected a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to proceed onto Warren St before it was safe to do so. A vehicle registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license status. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for Stop Sign Violation, Operating a MV on a Suspended License, Operating an Uninsured MV, Operating an Unregistered MV and Attaching Plates.

Larceny/Shoplifting: 10/12 at 5:1-pm – Commonwealth Ave
Store manager reported that a black male subject had stolen a phone case from the store. Subject is described to be in his 30’s, approximately 6ft, wearing a brown hoodie with Rockaway stenciled on the front in orange lettering.

Malicious/Damage: 10/13 at 1:27am – Freeman St/Browne St
Officer was seated in a cruiser when he heard a loud bang against the cruiser. A beer bottle was found shattered in the street next to the cruiser. Officer then observed two male subjects standing near the cruiser, in the direction of where the bottles came from the suspects and then fled. Officers began to pursue the suspects on foot. Suspects were caught and placed under arrest. Suspects will be charged for Malicious/Wanton Damage of Property and Disorderly Conduct.

B&E&L of MV: B/t 10/1 at 10:30am & 10/7 at 2pm – Thorndike St
Victim stated that she returned to find that her wallet, from the middle console of her vehicle, was found missing. Victim stated that she left her parked vehicle unlocked in front of her residence. Victim has since notified the credit card companies and cancelled the credit cards.

OUIL: 10/14 at 3:51am – Kent St/Kent Sq
Officer noticed a parked vehicle that was running with the driver’s lights on, interior lights on and loud music playing. Upon questioning, officer detected an odor of alcohol coming from the passenger cabin. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for Operating under the influence liquor, Operating under the influence of drugs, Assault, and Possession Class E.

Operating After Suspension: 10/15 at 2:16am – Brookline Ave
Officer observed a vehicle with a defective driver’s-side headlight. A vehicle registration check revealed that the operator had a suspended license status. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for operating with defective equipment, operating after suspension of license, operating after revocation of registration, operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.

Loud Music/Party: 10/14 at 1:07am – Washington St
Officer responded twice to an apartment for a report of loud music. Tenants were issued a Town Nuisance Control By-Law Citation.

Larceny: 10/13 at 3:41pm – Beacon St
Store manager informed dispatch that two black males had just fled the store after having stolen a display phone from the store. Suspects are described as: Suspect 1 – Black male, approximately 16-18 yoa, 5'07", 150-160 lbs, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and black sneakers. Suspect 2 – Black male, approximately 16-18 yoa, 5'07", 150-160 lbs, last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with the word "FICH" written on front and gray sweat pants

Not Duly Licensed: 10/14 at 4:40pm – Blake Rd
A vehicle registration check revealed that the registered owner of a vehicle had an expired non-renewable license status and a failed inspection sticker. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for Operating a MV without a License and Failing to Submit Motor Vehicle for Inspection.

Assault/Simple: 10/14 at 2am – Beacon St
Units responded to a report of a fight in progress in front of an establishment. Female subject stated that she felt that she was disrespected on by 3 other female parties. A physical altercation transpired causing minor injuries on the parties involved. Upon questioning, officers deemed that the 3 parties were defending themselves from an unwarranted attack. Charges of Assault and Battery will be made against the female subject and her friends.
