Aug. 19th – Aug. 20th

Arrest

Occurred 8:42 AM (8/19) – Lagrange St. / Beverly Rd.

While patrolling officers observed a vehicle with an invalid inspection sticker and executed a traffic stop. Upon identifying the driver, officers discovered that he did not have a valid Mass. driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension.

Larceny

Occurred between 10:00 AM (8/06) and 8:00 PM (8/13) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime during the week, an unknown suspect stole his bike from his building’s basement. The victim informed officers that the only people with access to this area of the building are the six other tenants. The bike is described as a red men's 27 speed Garry Fisher Mountain bike with black strips. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:00 AM and 12:02 PM (8/19) – Boylston St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that two of his bikes had been stolen while locked to a street sign. The bikes are described as Giant hybrid mountain bikes; one red in color and the other white and green. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 7:56 PM (8/19) – Harvard Ave

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that she did not receive a package she was expecting. The victim contacted the mail carrier and was notified that the package had been delivered a few days prior. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 2:59 AM (8/20) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny in progress at a local hotel. The reporting party, a hotel employee, stated that while she was taking a brief break outside of the hotel, she observed two male suspects run off with hotel property. Officers subsequently located the suspects and retrieved the stolen items. Both male subjects will be summonsed into Brookline District Court.

Burglary

Occurred 11:38 AM (8/19) – Stedman St.

Police responded to a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that an unknown suspect had entered her home and took her game console system and duffel bag while she was asleep. Officers believe the suspect used one of the bedroom windows as a point of entry. Police are following up on the case.
