Aug. 16th – Aug. 17h

Larceny


Occurred between 8:00 PM (8/14) and 9:00 AM (8/15) – Fairbanks St.


Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime during the weekend while his bike was outside in front of his apartment building, an unknown suspect stole his bike. The bike, described as a black PDX20 Matte was left unlocked during the time of the incident. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 5:59 PM (7/20) and 5:59 PM (8/12) – Boylston St.


Police responded to a report of a past larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that three of her packages that had delivered by FedEx had been stolen. The packages contained prescription medicine, a book, and a rug. None of the packages required a signature to be delivered. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred 6:19 AM (8/17) – Harvard Ave.


Police responded to a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated that when he went out to his car, he noticed another motor vehicle missing all four tires and immediately called police. Officers contacted the owners of the vehicle and informed them of the incident. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 2:40 PM (8/13) and 4:58 PM (8/17) – Lawton St.


Police responded to a report of a stolen package. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that she did not receive a package she was expecting. The victim contacted the mail carrier who informed her that the package was delivered a few days prior. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred 3:48 PM (8/17) – Beacon St.


Police responded to a report of an attempted extortion. The victim stated that while he was at work, he received a phone call from an alleged government agency employee who told him that if he didn’t pay money he owed right away, he was going to be placed under arrest. The suspect requested that he provide his credit card information to avoid being arrested. The subject did not provide any personal information to the caller. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM (8/17) – University Rd.


Police responded to a report of a larceny of a flower pot. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that her gray 30 inch plastic flower pot had been taken from the front of her house. The victim informed officers that she did not hear or see anything unusual during the time of the incident. A report was filed.


Malicious Damage


Occurred between 4:00 AM and 11:15 AM (8/16) – School St.


Police responded to a report of malicious damage to a school building. Upon arrival, officers observed one of the windows in the building completely shattered with a hole in the center. A school employee believes the damage occurred during the morning hours. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 5:00 PM (8/16) and 7:16 AM (8/17) – Glen Rd.


Police responded to a report of a malicious damage to a vehicle. The reporting party stated that as he was driving, he noticed another motor vehicle covered in a dry powdered chemical with a fire extinguisher next to it. Police contacted the owner of the vehicle who told officers that he did not know of anyone who would want to cause damage to his vehicle. A report was filed.


Motor Vehicle Theft


Occurred between 10:00 PM (8/15) and 7:45 AM (8/17) – Gibbs St.


Police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated when she went to drive her vehicle; she discovered it missing from the parking lot she had parked it in. The vehicle is described as a gray Honda Civic with a bike rack attached to the rear. Police are following up on the case.
