Aug. 13th – Aug. 15th

Arrest

Occurred between 2:07 AM and 3:00 AM (8/14) – Horace James Cr.

Police responded to a report of a disabled motor vehicle in a town rotary. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle on the side of the road and two subjects sitting next to the vehicle. Based on officers’ observations of the driver’s intoxicated appearance, he was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred 12:05 PM (8/14) – Olmstead Park

While on patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle being operated at an unreasonable high rate of speed, drive off road into a public park. The operator made a motion with the motor vehicle and intentionally attempted to strike a bicyclist in the park. Officers executed a traffic stop and subsequently placed the subject under arrest for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, operating to endanger, disorderly conduct, trespassing, restricted way violation, and marked lane violation.

Occurred 11:05 PM and 11:12 PM (8/15) – Roberts St.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance. The reporting party stated that he observed a group of subjects acting suspiciously around a parked SUV. Upon arrival, officers discovered a parked vehicle with a smashed driver’s side rear light. The owner of the vehicle was contacted immediately and the suspects were identified. Officers were able to determine who was responsible for the damage and subsequently placed the subject under arrest for malicious destruction of property.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

Occurred between 5:30 PM (8/12) and 6:32 AM (8/13) – Harvard Ave.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during the night; his vehicle had been broken into while being parked. The victim showed officers damage done to his vehicle and reported his black Pioneer car radio stolen.

Occurred 8:00 PM (8/14) and 8:00 PM (8/15) – Parkman St.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that when she returned to her vehicle which she had left parked in her assigned parking spot, she found her driver’s side door ajar. Upon further inspection, the victim discovered the battery cables of her vehicle had been disconnected. The victim did not report any missing items at this time. Police are following up on the case.

Graffiti Law

Occurred 4:53 PM (8/13) – Harvard St.

Police took a report of graffiti on a school building. Officers discovered multiple graffiti tags along the rear wall of the building spray painted in red, neon green, and aqua marine. Upon further inspection, officers found additional graffiti on the top area of the building written in purple. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 3:35 AM (8/14) – Dwight St.

Police responded to a report of graffiti. Upon arrival, officers observed graffiti on the side wall of a building spray painted in red. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 2:56 AM and 3:25 AM (8/13) – Sewall Ave.

Police responded to a report of an identity theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that earlier that day she received a letter stating her application for a credit card was denied. The victim informed officers that she never applied for a credit card and believes an unknown suspect used her name and social security number. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 7:56 AM (2/01) and (8/14) – Babcock St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while he was emptying his storage locker in the basement of his residence, he discovered multiple box sets of sports cards missing. The cards were last seen by the victim approximately six months prior and were secured with a lock which was also found missing. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM (8/13) – Harvard Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that sometime during a party he attended, his wallet was stolen from one of the bedrooms. The wallet contained the victim’s driver’s license, social security card, credit cards, checks, and cash. The victim informed officers that several unauthorized charges had been made to his credit card. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:00 AM and 8:00 AM (8/13) – Summit Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that sometime during the morning, his bike was stolen from the foyer area of his building. The bike is described as a Gary Fisher mountain bike. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 9:30 PM and 9:09 AM (8/13) – Babcock St.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he went to use his motor vehicle, he discovered all four tires and rims had been taken from the vehicle. The vehicle had been parked in the parking lot of the victim’s residence which is an unexposed lot with unrestricted access. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 1:19 PM (8/13) and 1:19 AM (8/15) – Fuller St.

Police responded to a report of larceny. The victim stated that while she was not home, a potential buyer took her dresser from her apartment. She informed officers that the suspect was buying the dresser from her and that they had arranged for the money to be left with the victim’s roommate however the roommate never received any money. Officers will be conducting a follow up investigation.
