July 7th Police Reports

Arrest

· Occurred at 11:18PM (7/07)- 1196 Commonwealth Avenue

Gregory Howell was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. While on patrol police noticed five suspects riding bicycles at a high rate of speed, members of the group fit the description of suspects involved in recent robberies taking place in the area. When police tried to speak to one of the suspects he fled on bicycle as did the other 4 members of the group. One suspect, Howell darted dangerously through traffic at high rates of speed while attempting to evade officers. When police eventually caught up to the male, a safety frisk produced a large folding knife.

Revoked Registration

· Occurred at 12:37AM (7/07)- Washington Street/Brookline Avenue

While on patrol officers noticed a vehicle with an expired registration sticker. After pulling the vehicle over it was learned that the driver’s registration had been revoked. Driver will be summoned to court for Driving after Revocation.

Malicious Damage

· Occurred at 2:00AM (7/07)- 452 Chestnut Hill Avenue

Police responded to a call of malicious damage. While speaking to the victim police learned that the man’s flower bed next to his house had been damaged. Eight to ten flowers were pulled out of the ground.

· Occurred between 9PM (7/06) and 9:00AM (7/07)- 634 Chestnut Hill Avenue

Victim reported that sometime over the night her vehicle had been damaged. There was a long scratch embedded in the drivers side of the vehicle, it also appeared the antenna in the back had been bent.

· Occurred between 5:30PM and 6:30PM (7/07)- 1350 Beacon Street

Police responded to the Ritz Camera Store to a report of malicious damage. The manger reported sometime after closing the store the front door was smashed.

Assault

· Occurred at 10PM (7/06)-300 South Street

Police responded to Bournewood Hospital to a report of an assault. Police spoke with an employee at the hospital who reported that a patient had assaulted another patient. The suspect allegedly approached the victim unprovoked and pushed her and then scratched her. The suspect will summoned to court for Assault and Battery.

Robbery

· Occurred between 7:55PM and 8:00PM (7/07)-Centre Street/Fuller Street

Police responded to a call of an unarmed robbery. The victim reported he was traveling home on Centre Street when approached from behind by two females and one male. The female attempted to get the victim to stop when that was unsuccessful the male suspect stopped the victim with his arm. The female suspect then pulled the victim off his bike, and then forced him to a bushy area where she searched him for his wallet. When not finding the wallet, all 3 suspects rode off with the male suspect on the victims bicycle. The suspects were described as two dark skinned females between 18-19 years old riding dark colored mountain bikes. One female was last seen wearing a blue and white stripped shirt with a shoulder length cornrow hair style. The second female suspect was described as dark skin with a frizzy pony tail. The male suspect was described as dark skin around 20 years old, wearing jeans and a short sleeve t- shirt with an afro type hair style and muscular body build.
