2/18/2021 FRAUD - Officers received a report of fraud where the reporting party stated that they received a letter in the mail stating that they filed for unemployment benefits. Since the party did not file for unemployment, they contacted police.
2/18/2021 BURGLARY - Officers responded to a report of a past burglary of a residence on Euston St., where the victim relayed that upon returning home they found their bedroom door off the hinges and some belongings were taken. The other bedrooms in the residence had their doors removed as well but no belongings missing. Police officers are currently investigating the case.
2/18/2021 THEFT - Officers responded to a past theft report where the victim stated that their stuff was taken from their locked gym locker. The perpetrator impersonated the victim in order to get a staff member to open the locker for them. Detectives are currently searching for surveillance.
2/18/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft report on Beacon St. where the victim reported that shortly after their package was delivered, they discovered the boxes opened and the contents were missing. Detectives are currently examining the opened package for evidence.

2/19/2021 GRAFFITI - Officers responded to a report for damage to a fence on Warren St., where the reporting party stated they observed graffiti on their fence. Officers are currently searching for surveillance footage around the area.

2/20/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Detectives responded to a shoplifting report on Boylston St. where the manager stated that they recognized the suspect due to past shopliftings. This caused them to monitor the suspect. Once they saw that the suspect was concealing products, they confronted the suspect about stealing. This caused the suspect to become irritable and make threats. They then proceeded to leave the store and exit the scene via MBTA. Detectives have received surveillance and are investigating the case now.

2/21/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. where the subject was observed putting product in a shopping bag. When officers arrived and confronted the subject, they became upset. The subject attempted to leave the store but officers continued to question them. Officers were able to stop and identify the subject. They were able to resolve the issue and prevent a crime.
2/21/2021 ASSAULT - Officers responded to a dispute on Commonwealth Ave. that was caused by an objection to a vehicle being towed. The argument among the parties became physical. As officers arrived on scene, they separated and questioned the parties present. Upon further investigating of video and dashboard camera footage, officers made an arrest.

2/22/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of fraud on Boylston St. where a subject was attempting to make an exchange with counterfeit bills. The merchant was extra keen at this time since a previous incident with counterfeit bills had occurred the previous week. The merchant used a counterfeit detector pen to reveal that the bills were fake. This prompted the manager to contact police. Officers stopped a suspect walking away from the establishment and questioned them. An investigation and interview is in progress.
2/22/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. where the manager witnessed the party placing product in their sweatshirt and exit the store. With description of the suspect, officers identified and stopped the suspect near the store. Upon confirming with the manager the identity of the suspect, officers made an arrest.
2/22/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the reporting party stated that they received an unemployment claim under their name. Since they did not file for unemployment, the contacted police.
2/22/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. where the suspect concealed an item and payed for another item. Upon confrontation from a store employee, the suspect stated that they put the concealed item back. The suspect left the store and officers canvassed the area.
2/22/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft report on Beacon St. where the victim reported that packages were taken from their foyer. Officers are currently investigating with video footage provided.
2/22/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the reporting party stated that a subject that they had been talking on social media for over a year with, claimed that they needed money to buy a new phone. The reporting party bought eBay gift cards and gave the subject the codes in order for them to buy a new phone. The fraudulent activity continued and the victim reported to police once they suspected that they were getting scammed.
2/22/2021 SHOPLIFTING - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Beacon St. where the employee stated that they observed the subject taking bottles of liquor and leaving the store. Officers are currently investigating with a description of the suspect.
