About 1:02 AM, on Friday, September 15, 2017, Officers
stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Beacon St. and St. Marys St. for not
having insurance. The operator will be
summonsed into Brookline District Court for the following Offenses: (MGL 90:23)
Operating After Revocation – Registration, (MGL 90:34J) Operating Uninsured
Motor Vehicle, (MGL 90:9) Operating Unregistered Motor Vehicle. The vehicle was
towed.
At 13:15 hrs. Officers responded to an address on Egmont
St. for reports of a partial building
collapse. Upon arrival Officers observed a pile of stone rubble on the side
walk. No reported injuries, building management was notified and residents were
evacuated.
On 9/15/2017 Officers responded to an address on Heath St to speak to a party in regards to a
nurses aid who had forged a number of checks..
An investigation was conducted and
one person will be summonsed into court for Larceny from a Building.
.On Saturday September 16th, 2017 Officers responded to the
intersection of Boylston St and Warren St for a single vehicle crash with
unknown injuries. The operator reports
falling asleep while driving, she was
issued Massachusetts Uniform Citation for MGL Chapter 89 Section 4A: Marked
Lanes Violation.
On Saturday September 16, 2017 2 residents arrived at the Brookline
Police Station to report that their bike had been stolen from their residence
on Marion St. The bike is described as a blue Giant with a medium men's frame
worth A report was filed.
On September 16th, 2017, I, Officers responded to Alton Pl
for a past package theft. A report was filed.
On 9/17/2017 Officers responded to an address on Washington
Street for a traffic crash. After an
investigation it was determined that one of the operators was distracted when
the lens fell out of their glasses, which ultimately led to the crash. No
injuries reported.
On September 17, 2017 Officers responded to Larz Anderson
Park for a possible hazmat situation.
Dispatch received several calls from park patrons stating there was a
strong chemical odor coming from inside a park building. Officers created a 2/10 mile perimeter
(roughly 1000 feet) surrounding the ice rink.
The fire department deemed it necessary to evacuate any civilians inside
and prohibit entry into the park. A command post was established and units were
strategically placed blocking entrances to the park and assisted with
evacuation.
The Brookline Fire Department concluded the ammonia
detection alarm system malfunctioned, causing a severe leak and safety
hazard. The leak was repaired, and the
park was reopened.
On September 17, 2017 at approximately 1700 hours, a women
came into the Brookline Police Station to drop off some found property that was
abandoned at the bus stop located on Harvard St in Coolidge Corner. Attempts
have been made to contact the owner.
On Sunday, September 17, 2017, Officers responded to a radio
call for Erratic Operation at the intersection of Washington St. and Greenough
St. After locating the vehicle it was believed the operator was
intoxicated. After further investigation
the Officers placed the woman under arrest and charged her with the following;
(MGL 90:24) Operating Under the Influence - Liquor
(MGL 90:23) Operating After Suspension - License
(MGL 90:23) Operating After Revocation - Registration
(MGL 90:9) Operating Unregistered Motor Vehicle, (MGL 89:4A) Marked Lanes Violation.
On 9/18/17 Officers responded to an address on Beacon St. to
take a report of past malicious damage to property. A staff member informed the
Officer that the card reader to the exterior door had been tampered with
sometime between 9/16/17 at 1400 hours and 9/18/17 at 0830 hours. A report was filed and a follow-up by
Detectives has ben requested.
On 9/18/17 Officers responded to an address on Francis St
for a report of a suspicious male. The reporting party was was startled by a
male subject she observed on her back deck. After an investigation the subject
was placed under arrest for the attempted B&E.
