7/27/2016

1:01am: While on patrol, an officer conducted a random query of a vehicles registration traveling on Harvard Street.  The query revealed the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license. The officer activated his emergency overhead lights and conducted a traffic stop. The driver identified himself as the owner of the vehicle. The subject was immediately placed under arrest and charged with operating after suspension.

7:56pm: While monitoring traffic, an officer witnessed a vehicle make a wrong turn down Newton Street, which is marked one-way street. The officer immediately initiated a traffic stop. When asked to produce a license, the operator stated he did not have a driver’s license.  A check with Brookline Dispatch confirmed the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Brookline Police Department. During an inventory search of the vehicle prior to towing, officers found a small plastic bag which was believed to be cocaine. The subject has been charged with Not Being Duly Licensed, Possession of a Class B Drug, and Making and Improper turn.
