9:02 am: A bicycle was reported stolen from a bike rack on Station Street. The bicycle had been locked to the rack for a few days, but was missing when the owner went to retrieve it. Be advised that there has been an increase in bicycle thefts in the past couple of months. Since May, we have seen 17 bike thefts. Be sure to properly secure your bikes.

12:56 pm: Officers responded to a report of B&E on Wolcott Road. It appeared that the suspect(s) attempted to gain entry by smashing a pane of glass on the cellar door, but the door was locked. They then smashed the side door of the house leading into the kitchen. The door and door frame were both damaged. The owners of the house have been notified and are planning to have it boarded up.  

3:20pm: Officers were dispatched to a business on Harvard St. for a past shoplifting. On scene, a store employee reported she had seen two individuals placing large amounts of nail polish into a basket. The employee then witnessed the subjects immediately exit the store and get into a black SUV without paying for the items. The store manager was able to give the officers the stores surveillance video to provide them with a description of the individuals. A search of the area yielded negative results.


10:24pm: While on patrol, officers responded to a residence on Winchester St. for a report of a larceny. On arrival to the scene, the victim stated his large concrete potted plant had been taken from the front steps of his house between the hours of 4:00pm and 10:00 pm.
