Police Reports 1/29/2014
On January 29, an officer observed a vehicle traveling on Washington St. that had failed inspection. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and it was found that the operator’s license had been suspended. The driver was placed under arrest and cited for operating after suspension and failure to submit motor vehicle for inspection.
On January 29, an officer conducted a random query of a vehicle travelling on Washington Street. The query showed that the registered owner had a suspended license so the officer initiated a traffic stop. The officer confirmed that the driver had a suspended license and they were placed under arrest.
On January 29, an officer was approached by civilian who wanted to report a hit and run accident they had just had in Boston. The officer broadcasted information about the vehicle and it was spotted travelling on Boylston Street near Hammond Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle which kept driving to avoid the police. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot and the suspect fled on foot. Officers caught the suspect and placed him under arrest. He was charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle, operating after suspension, marked lanes violation, speeding, and resisting arrest. The motor vehicle accident is being investigated by the State Police.
On January 29, officers responded to a bank on Harvard St. that had activated their alarm for a robbery. A bank teller stated that a man had approached her, handed her a note, and left. The matter is currently under investigation.
