10/03 - 10/04

Sector 1

Larceny: 09/30/2013 at 2:00 p.m. – Pleasant St.

An officer was dispatched to a residence on Pleasant St. after receiving a report of larceny. Upon arrival, the officer was met by the victim who stated she believes someone entered her apartment and stole a large sum of money. There were no signs of forced entry and the victim remembers locking the door before leaving the house. The building manager stated no workmen were given access to the apartment.

Attempted Robbery: 10/03/2013 at 12:18 a.m. – Washington St. 

Brookline officers received a report of an attempted robbery which occurred on Washington St. The victim stated she was walking down Washington St. when she heard two people run up behind her. She was pushed to the ground as the suspects demanded she hand over her belongings. The victim began screaming for help. She was hit and kicked several times by the suspects before they fled toward Washington Square. The suspects are described as two African American males in their late teens or early twenties. Both wore dark clothing. This is a similar offense to the attempted robbery which occurred on Thorndike St. a little over an hour later. At this time, officers do not know if the incidents are linked. Both crimes are being investigated.

Sector 2

Attempted Larceny: 10/02/2013 at 2:00 p.m. – Longwood Ave

While working at the front desk, an officer received a report of an attempted larceny. The victim stated she left her bike secured to a bike rack on Longwood Ave. When she returned for her bike, she noticed an attempt was made to cut the cable lock securing her bike.

Sector 9

Not Duly Licensed: 10/03/2013 at 8:45 a.m. – Lagrange St./ Princeton Rd.

An officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn onto Princeton Rd. The officer initiated a traffic stop. A query of the operator’s information revealed she did not have a proper license. She was placed under arrest for not being duly licensed.
