Police Reports 7/9-7/10

Bait Bike Arrest: 7/9 at 11:18 PM- Harvard St. / Beacon St.

On 7/9 at approximately 11:20 PM, officers received notice that the department’s GPS equipped “bait bicycle” had been removed from a pole on Fuller St. Officers observed four subjects on bicycles in the area of Harvard St. Officers were able to stop three subjects, while the fourth subject fled on a bicycle that resembled the bait bike. Officers were able to stop this subject after a brief pursuit. At that time it was confirmed that the bicycle the subject had been riding was in fact the bait bike. The individual was placed under arrest for Larceny Over $250. The other three individuals that had been riding with the arrestee were also placed under arrest for Larceny Over $250. Three of the arrestees were additionally charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Operating after Suspension: 7/9 at 5:06 PM- Longwood Ave. / Chapel St.

An officer observed a vehicle travel through a solid red light. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Longwood Ave. A query revealed that the driver had a suspended license and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Suspension.

Sector 1

Robbery: 7/9 at 11:32 PM- Dwight St. / Green St.

Officers responded to Dwight Street at Green Street for the report of an unarmed robbery. The victim stated that she was talking to a friend on the street when an unknown male individual approached her, shoved her, and stole her cell phone. The suspect then fled down an alleyway. The suspect was described as a dark skinned male, 5’9”-6’, 180-200 lbs., short hair, unshaven, wearing gray shorts and a T-shirt. A search of the area for the suspect yielded negative results.

Operating after Revocation: 7/9 at 6:35 AM- Harvard St.

A query of a vehicle’s information revealed that the registered owner had a revoked license. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Harvard St. The driver was confirmed to be the registered owner and he was placed under arrest for Operating after Revocation.

Sector 4

B&E MV: Between 7/7 and 7/9- Davis Ave.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle in the area of Davis Ave. on 7/7. When she returned on 7/9 she discovered her vehicle had been rummaged through and a GPS unit was missing from the center console.

B&E MV: Between 7/8 and 7/9- Davis Ave.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle in the area of Davis Ave. on 7/8. When she returned the next morning she discovered someone had entered the vehicle and removed a GPS unit.

B&E MV: 7/9 between 12:01 and 5:00 AM- Berkeley Ct.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a MV. The victim stated that he returned to his vehicle to find that it had been rummaged through. A driver’s license and cash were removed from the vehicle.

Sector 5

Larceny Arrest: 7/9 at 7:00 PM- University Rd.

Officers responded to the area of University Rd. for the report of a larceny in progress. The reporting party stated that a female individual was attempting to steal a bicycle off a porch. Officers were able to apprehend a subject who fit the description in the area. The subject was positively identified and she was placed under arrest for Larceny from a Building.

B&E MV: Between 7/6 and 7/7- Clark Rd.

An individual reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle in his driveway on 7/6. When he returned the next day he discovered that someone had entered the vehicle and removed an iPod.

B&E MV: Between 7/9 and 7/10- Gardner Rd.

An individual reported a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle in the area of Gardner Rd. on 7/9. When he returned to his vehicle a short time later, he discovered a passenger side window had been smashed and a GPS unit had been removed.
