Police Reports 7/8-7/9

Not Duly Licensed: 7/8 at 6:49 PM- Boylston St.

An officer observed a vehicle weave out of its marked lane. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Boylston St. A query revealed that the driver did not have a valid license and he was placed under arrest for Not Duly Licensed.

Sector 1

Bike Theft: Between 6/30 and 7/8- Pleasant St.

An individual reported the larceny of a bicycle. The victim stated that he left his bike in the bicycle room of his building on 6/30. When he returned on 7/8, he discovered his bicycle was missing. The bicycle room is accessible to residents only.

Larceny from Building: Between 7/5 and 7/6- Beacon St.

A building manager reported the larceny of several brass doorknobs throughout a Beacon St. building. The reporting party stated that approximately 10 brass doorknobs had been removed throughout the building.

Traffic Arrest: 7/8 at 6:02 PM- Babcock St. / John St.

A bicycle officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn. The officer signaled for the driver to pull over, however the vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed, nearly striking several people in a marked crosswalk. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the area a short time later. The driver was placed under arrest for Refusing to Obey a Police Officer and Operating to Endanger. An inventory search of the arrestee’s person produced two fake IDs and a stolen license. The arrestee will additionally be charged with Possessing a Forged Driver’s License, Possessing a Stolen Driver’s License, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Sector 2

OUIL: 7/9 at 1:04 AM- Beacon St. / Charles St.

Officers responded to the area of Beacon St. and Charles St. for the report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival officers observed two vehicles that had been involved in an accident. It was determined that Vehicle #1 had been stopped at a red light when Vehicle #2 struck it from behind. Upon making contact with the operator of Vehicle #2 officers could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his person. Based on the observations the driver of Vehicle #2 was placed under arrest for Operating under the Influence of Liquor. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.

Larceny of License Plate: Between 6/20 and 7/8- Francis St.

An individual reported the larceny of a license plate. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle in a Francis St. garage on 6/20. When she returned on 7/8, she discovered her front license plate was missing.

Package Theft: 7/3 between 9:30 AM and 5:45 PM- Longwood Ave.

An individual reported the larceny of a package. The victim stated that she received confirmation of a delivery to her residence. However, when she went to retrieve the package from her foyer it was missing.

Sector 6

Larceny: Between 7/4 and 7/8- Crafts Rd.

An individual reported the larceny of a gas grill. The victim stated that someone had removed a gas grill from her side porch.
