Police Reports 9/14 - 9/17

Sector 1
Loud Music/Party: 9/16 at 12:53am – Pleasant St
Officers responded to a report of a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers noticed loud music and talking coming from the top floor of an apartment on Dwight St. Residents stated that they were having a birthday party. Residents were advised of the complaint and were each issued citations for violating the Nuisance Control By-Law.

Sector 2
Larceny: 9/15 at 11:35pm – Station St
Officers responded to a report of a past larceny report. Caller stated that she forgot to bring her backpack into the theatre, and later returned to find her bag missing. Caller’s backpack contained numerous property items.

Sector 2
ID Fraud: 8/25 at 3:50pm – Perry St
Caller claimed that he was being victimized by a caregiver who was using his credit & debit cards. Caller stated that the caregiver had taken his vehicle and the credit/debit cards a few days prior. Caller was notified of unauthorized cash withdrawals and transactions. Officers have requested a warrant for the caregiver’s arrest.This investigation is ongoing.

Sector 3
Loud Music/Party: 9/15 at 11:44pm – Harvard St
Officers responded to a report of a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers observed approximately 10-15 people inside the residence being loud and listening to music. Residents were advised to have their guests leave and issued Town By Laws for violating the Nuisance Control by-law.

Sector 4
Operating After Suspension: 9/17 at Harvard St and Beacon St
A random query check revealed that the operator of a vehicle had a suspended license. Operator was placed under arrest and charged for Operating After Suspension, Providing False Name to a Police Officer, Operating without License in Possession, and Registration not in Possession.

Sector 4
Loud Music/Party: 9/16 at 12:42am – Park Street
Officers responded to a report of a noise complaint. Upon arrival, officers noticed loud music and talking coming from a residence on Park Street. Resident was advised of the complaint and issued a Town By-Law Citation for Nuisance Control. All guests were asked to leave the apartment.

Sector 5
Accident-MV: 9/16 at 1:10pm - Chestnut Hill Ave and Dean Rd
Officer was dispatched for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Operator of a vehicle stated that he ran a red light and struck another vehicle. Operator was issued for Failure to Stop for a Red Light.

Sector 6
Larceny: 9/14 at 2:00pm – Beacon St
Officer was dispatched for a larceny report. Victim stated that she left her wallet at a restaurant and noticed that fraudulent charges were made to her account a few days later. Victim was advised to contact the major credit bureaus to report the incident.

Sector 6
Malicious Damage: 9/14 at 3:20pm – Chestnut Hill Ave
Officers responded to a report of a tow truck dispute. Victim stated that his towing company was proceeding to tow a vehicle that was parked in a lot that was clearly posted no parking. The vehicle was on the lift when the owner of the vehicle ran over demanding to return his vehicle back to him. The subject became irate, jumped into the driver side of the van and drove the van off the tow truck causing damage to the tow truck, and proceeded to try to leave the parking lot. Victim tried to take picture of the vehicle registration plate when the subject hit the victim with his vehicle. Victim sustained pain to the left side of his torso. Subject was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon(vehicle), Malicious Destruction of Property and Disorderly Conduct.

Sector 7
Leave Scene Accident: 9/15 at 1:00am - Warren St/ Dudley Rd
Officer was dispatched for a report of a town property pole on the ground with part of a black bumper. Operator of the vehicle stated that he was very tired so he walked home and intended to deal with the car and accident the next morning. Operator was charged with failure to keep marked lanes and Leaving the scene of a Property Damage Accident.

Sector 9
B&E of MV: Occurred b/t 9/13 at 5:00pm & 9/14 at 3:00pm– Risley Rd
Victim stated that she left her vehicle unlocked in her driveway overnight and noticed the next day that the driver’s door was left slightly ajar. Victim noticed that the glove compartment was opened; nothing else was disturbed inside the vehicle.

Sector 8
Accident/Bicycle: 9/14 at 10:05am – Lee St
Bicyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed into a parked vehicle. Bicyclist sustained head injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Sector 9
B&E of MV: Occurred b/t 9/13 at 5:30pm & 9/14 at 8:15am– Risley Rd
Victim stated that she noticed the glove compartment of her vehicle was left opened and the contents that were inside were on the front passenger seat. Victim stated nothing was taken from her vehicle. Victim later spoke to a resident of Leland Rd who also stated that his vehicle was entered. He stated that he noticed the front passenger door to his vehicle was slightly ajar and the glove compartment was left opened. Investigation is ongoing.
