10/19-10/20

B&E Motor Vehicle:

Occurred at 10:15 PM on 10/19 – Perry St.

Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle break. The passenger front door window was smashed and the console was open. A GPS and several DVD’s and CD’s were stolen. A neighbor reported hearing a loud crash at 10:15 PM but believed it was a tree branch.


Occurred Overnight, 10/18-10/19 – Newton St.

A victim reported that she found the rear passenger side window of her vehicle, which was parked in her driveway, smashed when she went out to use the car. A bag containing an iPod was stolen.

This area has seen a recent rise in motor vehicle breaks. Please make sure vehicles are locked, and no valuable items are left inside.

MV Crash/Hit & Run:

Occurred on 10/19 at 10:17AM – Coolidge Corner

Officers responded to a report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident that had just occurred at Coolidge Corner. The suspect's vehicle was described as a black Brookline taxi cab, which fled east on Beacon St. In a canvas of the area, the suspect's vehicle was located on St. Paul St., with damages to its right front light assembly and bumper. After being confronted, the driver of the cab confessed and was cited with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
