8/17-8/18

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle:

Occurred at 10:55 AM on 8/17– Pond Ave.

Officers were dispatched to the area for a larceny of a delivery truck. The drivers left the truck unattended for a few moments while making deliveries, and returned to discover two packages missing. Surveillance video from the area captured a white male, wearing a black sweatshirt, camouflage shorts, white sneakers, white baseball cap and sunglasses, approach the delivery truck. He was seen trying the rear tailgate, discovering it locked, then entering the truck through the passenger side door, and finally exiting the truck with the two packages. He was determined to be driving a white vehicle. This case is currently under investigation.

Burglary:

Occurred between 8/15 and 8/17 – Browne St.

A resident of the apartment building returned home to discover his neighbor’s door left open. Upon further inspection he noticed pry marks and realized the apartment had been burglarized. He notified the police, who are investigating.
