7/18-7/19

MV Accident:

Occurred at 4:11 PM (7/18) – Horace James Circle

Officers responded to a hit and run of a cyclist. The victim was transported to the hospital, and he was able to relay a license plate number to the police. Officers went to the home of the registered owner of the vehicle. It was revealed that she did stop after the accident, but went home to decide how to proceed. Officers issued her a citation for Leaving the Scene of Personal Injury and a Property Damage Incident.


Occurred at 3:25 PM (7/18) – Beverly Rd.

Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area. The victim was transported to the hospital with very serious injuries. The vehicle she was driving was found crashed into a tree up the street from where she was found. The accident is currently under investigation.

MV Break-in:

Occurred at 7:48 AM (7/19) – Babcock St.

Officers responded to a reported vehicle break-in. A wallet was stolen, but a GPS unit was left behind.


Occurred at 5:45 PM (7/18) – Independence Drive.

Officers responded to a reported vehicle break-in. A GPS unit as well as important documents were reported stolen.


Occurred at 2:30 PM (7/18) – Monmouth St.

Officers responded to the area for a reported vehicle break-in. The driver’s side window was smashed, but it still unclear how the damage was caused. Nothing was taken, even though valuable items were in plain view.

Larceny:

Occurred at 1:15 PM (7/18) – Beacon St./St. Paul St.

Officers responded to a reported larceny. The victim reported her pocketbook was stolen out of her office. At the same time, another victim reported her pocketbook stolen from the same building.

Surveillance footage of the suspect using stolen credit cards was retrieved and an investigation commenced. The suspect was seen driving away, and officers followed up by going to the home where the vehicle was registered. There, they found the suspect in possession of stolen items from both victims. A package from an address across the street from where the thefts occurred was also retrieved from the vehicle. The suspect will be summonsed to court for 3 counts of Larceny.


Occurred between 6/27 and 7/17 Reported on (7/18) – St. Paul St.

Officers responded for a reported larceny. Several expensive electronics were stolen from his apartment, and officers are following up with a renovation company who was working in the building, during which time the victim had to temporarily live at another location.


Occurred on 7/15 between 6 AM and 3:30 PM, Reported on 7/18 – Egmont St.

There was a reported larceny of jewelry. Officers are following up with a renovation company who was working in the building.
