April 28th- May 2nd

Arrests:

Occurred at 8:24 PM (4/28) – Harvard Street

Officers responded to a report of larceny. Upon investigation officers learned that three females were acting suspicious and gathering multiple items into a cart. They then met in the corner with a male subject who started to head towards the exit of the store with all of the merchandise. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for Larceny.

Occurred at 2:43 AM (4/29) – Washington Street/ Pond Avenue

Officers conducted a traffic stop for an expired inspection sticker. Upon investigation the officer could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Officers also observed two beer cans in a center console. Officers conducted field sobriety tests and learned that the subject was operating under the influence of alcohol. The subject was subsequently placed under arrests for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred at 1:40 AM (4/30) – Boylston Street/ Cypress Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Upon investigation officers learned that the subjects license to operate was suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrests for operating after suspension and speeding.

Occurred at 3:11 AM (4/30) – Clyde Street/ Lee Street

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a marked lane violation and failure to display a front license plate. Upon investigation officers learned that the subject’s license as suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and not duly licensed.

Occurred at 6:00 AM (4/30) – Kenwood Street/ Harvard Street

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop for failure to wear a helmet on a motorized scooter. The subject refused to stop, which later turned into a foot pursuit. After an extensive search of the subject, another officer observed a vehicle with multiple passengers stop and attempt to move the scooter. Officers conducted the traffic stop of that vehicle. Upon investigation the subjects seemed to be very nervous. The passenger of the vehicle kept reaching for an object under the seat. For the safety of the officers and subjects, officers removed the passenger from the vehicle and attempted to conduct a pat and frisk. The subject did not cooperate and was fighting and assaulting the officers. When additional officers arrived they were able to identify the subject as the suspect previously on the stolen scooter. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for 2 counts of Assault and Battery on a police officer, receiving stolen property, possession of burglarious tools, resisting arrest, threats, and failure to stop for police. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found several weapons, burglarious tools, and marijuana paraphernalia. The three remaining passengers were subsequently placed under arrests. One subject was charged with accessory after the fact, possession of burglarious tools, and receiving stolen property by joint venture. The second subject was charged with accessory after the fact and receiving stolen property by joint venture. The third subject was charged with using a false name, accessory after the fact, possession of burglarious tools, receiving stolen property by joint venture. The third subject was also issued citations for marked lanes violation and not duly licensed.

Occurred at 1:36 AM (5/1) – Hamilton Road

Officers responded to a report of malicious damage to a building. Upon arrival officers located a subject that matched the description of the suspect that had smashed the glass window of the building. Officers learned that the subject had been drinking and got into a small argument with his girlfriend. When she refused to speak with him the subject got angry and smashed the window with a fire extinguisher. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for malicious damage to a building.


Occurred between 6:07 PM (5/1) and 6:50 PM (5/1) – Boylston Street/ Heath Street

Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon investigation officers observed the subject had visible signs of intoxication. Officers conducted field sobriety tests and learned that the subject was under the influence of alcohol. The subject was subsequently placed under arrests for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Occurred at 12:35 AM (5/1) – Hammond Street/ Woodland Road

Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival officers learned that there was one subject involved who was being treated by the paramedics. It was clear that the subject had been drinking due to the odor of alcohol. The subject was transported to the hospital. The subject’s license was seized and the subject will be charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, operating to endanger, speeding, and marked lanes violation.


Open and Gross:

Occurred between 1:15 PM (4/30) and 1:26 PM (4/30)- Washington Street

Officers responded to a report of sexual assault. Upon arrival officers learned that a male subject that was described as 5’10 with long, dark hair, a beard, and wearing a dark coat had inappropriately exposed himself to another subject within the library. The male fled and the investigation is ongoing.
