Arrests:
Occurred at 1:03 PM (5/2) – Clyde Street
Officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to come to a complete stop. Upon investigation officers learned that the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension and a red light violation.
Occurred at 3:20 PM (5/2) – Commonwealth Avenue
Officers responded to a report of larceny. Upon investigation officers learned that the suspect had removed a razor from its package and placed in to a plastic bag that the suspect was carrying. The store employee confronted the suspect, retrieved the item and called the police. The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting.
Occurred at 6:36 PM (5/20) – Perkins/ Chestnut
Officers conducted a traffic stop for failure to yield at a rotary. Upon investigation officers learned that the subjects license to operate was suspended. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest for operating after suspension, and was issued a citation for failure to yield.
Burglary:
Occurred between 11:00 PM (5/1) and 9:00 AM (5/2) – Harvard Avenue
Officers responded to a report of burglary. Upon investigation officers learned that one of the apartments had been ransacked and rummaged through. There were several windows that appeared open and doors were unlocked. No items have been reported missing at this time.
Occurred between 9:00 AM (5/2) and 4:00 PM (5/2) – Verndale Street
Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering. Upon arrival officers learned that one of the apartments had been broken into. The apartment was processed for evidence.
Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle:
Occurred between 7:20 AM (5/2) and 2:10 PM (5/2) – Boylston Street
Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon investigation officers learned that the passenger window was smashed and a GPS was taken from the vehicle.
Occurred between 8:00 PM (5/2) and 7:18 AM (5/3) – Codman Road
Officers responded to report of breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Upon investigation officers learned that a window had been smashed and a wallet was stolen. There were no other targeted vehicles in the area.
