Aug. 5th – Aug. 6th

Arrest

Occurred 2:33 AM (8/07) – Washington St. / White Pl.

Officers responded to a report of a person in a motor vehicle who may have medical concerns. Upon arrival, officers observed a male in a vehicle parked haphazardly in a local restaurant’s parking lot. EMS personnel informed officers that the driver was exhibiting signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication. Based on the medical staff’s and officers observations, the driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Burglary

Occurred between 2:47 AM (8/05) – Hammond St.

Police responded to a report of a residential alarm. Upon arrival, officers discovered the apartment door unlocked and noticed pry marks by the deadbolt on both the door and door jam. Officers conducted a thorough search of the entire building and found several pieces of evidence. The residents of the apartment were notified about the burglary and reported that very few items were taken. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

Occurred between 8:00 AM (7/03) and 4:00 PM (8/05) – Clark Rd.

Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when she received her credit card statement this month, she discovered several unauthorized transactions. Four charges were made to her credit card totaling $761.42. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 11:06 AM (7/08) and 11:06 AM (8/06) – Clinton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a fraud. The victim stated that when he received his bank statement he discovered a large amount of money had been taken out of his account. The bank informed the victim that the transfer was approved because someone was able to provide them with his date of birth and social security number. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred 5:29 PM (8/06) – Washington St.

Police responded to a report of a fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that an unauthorized charge of $217.95 was made on his credit card to a flower company out of California. The victim informed officers that no one else uses his credit card and he was unable to contact the company. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

Occurred between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM (8/04) – Sewall Ave.

Police responded to a report of a past larceny. The victim stated that while she was dining at a local restaurant, an unknown suspect went into her backpack and stole two of her wallets. The victim had placed the backpack on the rear of her chair during dinner and discovered the wallets missing when she returned home. The wallets contained $30 in cash, two credit cards, and her MA driver’s license. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 12:00 PM (8/05) and 2:00 PM (8/05) – Stanton Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that sometime during the morning, an unknown suspect stole a Fed Ex package that was left in an unlocked entrance at the victim’s request. Police are following up on the case.

Malicious Damage

Occurred between 5:00 PM (7/28) and 8:30 AM (7/29) – Hammond St.

Police responded to a report of a past malicious damage. The reporting person stated that as he was leaving his building during the morning, he discovered damage to the front door and lock. He informed officers that the lock and lock guard had been ripped off and the door could no longer close. Police are following up on the case.

Occurred between 10:30 PM (8/04) and 4:11 PM (8/06) – Harvard Ave.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim stated that sometime during the last couple of days, someone had slashed all of his tires on his car while it was parked in the rear parking area of his residence. The victim also informed officers that a similar incident occurred two weeks prior in which he found his tired deflated. Police are following up on the case.

Assault

Occurred between 3:00 AM and 3:30 AM (8/06) – Franklin St.

Police responded to a report of a past assault and battery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting parties who stated that they had been involved in a confrontation with their neighbors from the floor below. They explained to officers that as a result of asking their neighbors to quiet down, their neighbors came to their door and banged heavily on the door. When the victim approached the door, the suspect struck the victim in the chest. Based on their investigation, police are requesting that the suspect be summonsed into Brookline district court for assault and battery. Police are following up on the case.
