Aug. 10th – Aug. 12th

Arrest


Occurred between 2:00 PM (7/04) and 2:12 PM (8/02) – Harvard St.


Police responded to a report of a shoplifter fleeing from a local store. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, an employee of a grocery store who stated that he observed a female subject put food in a grocery bag and exit the store without paying. Officers subsequently located the female suspect and placed her under arrest for shoplifting.

Occurred 1:23 AM (8/10) – Harvard St.


Officers observed a motor vehicle drive through a blocked off intersection where road crews were working. Officers subsequently pulled the subject over in which they detected a strong odor of liquor emanating from the vehicle. Based on officer’s observations of the driver’s driving habits and intoxicated appearance, she was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.


Occurred between 7:57 AM and 8:57 AM (8/10) – Beacon St.


Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon identifying the driver, it was discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a license and further charged with making an illegal left turn.


Occurred 8:26 PM (8/10) – Beacon St. / Kent St.


While patrolling, officers observed three male subjects intentionally riding their bikes into traffic causing several near miss accidents. Officers subsequently stopped the suspects to conduct a threshold inquiry. Upon investigation, officers discovered that one of the subjects was in possession of a stolen bike, stolen cell phone, and in possession of drugs. The three subjects were subsequently placed under arrest for being disorderly persons.


Occurred between 10:45 PM (8/11) – Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of a fleeing shoplifter. The reporting party, a store employee, stated that she observed the subject place several items into his jacket. The subject was approached by the employee and removed the items from his jacket and left the store. Officers subsequently located the suspect and placed him under arrest for shoplifting.


Occurred 7:05 AM (8/12) – Beacon St.


Police responded to a report of a disturbance by a female subject yelling and screaming in the street. Upon arrival, officers observed damage the subject had done to property including numerous potted plants and trash cans. Officers subsequently located the subject and placed her under arrest for malicious damage of property and disorderly conduct.


Occurred 11:57 AM (8/12) – Buckminster Rd.


Police responded to a possible impaired person requesting assistance. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle driving in an unsafe manner and conducted a traffic stop. Based on officers’ observations of the subject’s driving habits, behavior, and appearance, officers subsequently placed the subject under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.


Fraud


Occurred 4:45 AM (6/27) – Beacon St.


Police responded to a report of a credit card fraud. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that when he received his bank statement, he discovered an unauthorized withdrawal of $49.08 on his account. He informed officers that he did not know where this transaction occurred. Police are following up on the case.


Burglary


Occurred between 9:00 AM (7/04) and 12:05 PM (8/02) – Brook St.


Police responded to a report of a past burglary. The victim stated that when she returned home from a vacation, she was notified by her landlord that he replaced her rear window screen because it had been damaged. The victim subsequently inspected her home and discovered a game console system missing. The victim believes the suspect used the window as a point of entry. Police are following up on the case.


Larceny


Occurred between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM (8/10) – Columbia St.


Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that sometime while his vehicle was parked, an unknown suspect stole the rear spoiler off the top of his trunk. Officers inspected the vehicle and observed glue and holes from where the spoiler had been removed. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM (8/10) – Brookline Pl.


Police responded to a report of a larceny at a local school. . Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that while he was inside the building, his bike was locked to a bus stop pole. The bike is described as a black, 20 speed Mountain Bike. Police are following up on the case.


Occurred between 7:00 PM (8/10) and 8:15 AM (8/11) – Summit Ave.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that prior to leaving for work; she discovered her bike missing from her front porch. The bike had been locked to the front porch railing with a wire lock. The bike is described as a silver 2009 Giant Cypress women’s bike valued at $420. Police are following up on the case.


Graffiti


Occurred between 9:00 PM (8/11) and 9:52 AM (8/12) – Downes Field

Police responded to a report of graffiti. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated that when she went into work, she discovered a large amount of graffiti on the equipment shed/bathroom area. The graffiti was written in red, purple, and lime green colors.


Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle


Occurred between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM (8/07) – Highland Rd.

Police responded to a report of a past breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. Officers met with the victim who stated that sometime during the prior week, his vehicle had been entered through an unlocked door. The victim reported his silver Garmin GPS missing along with a cable cord and mount.
