February 24th

Arrest

  • Occurred 12:24AM (2/24) – 1016 Beacon St.

Police were responding to a business alarm activation when they observed a man walking from that general area. After identifying the man, they found him to be carrying a glass of alcohol. The man became uncooperative and belligerent and was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.

  • Occurred 3:37AM (2/24) – 155 Harvard St.

Police observed a parked van on the side of the street that had appeared to have hit a trash can. The driver also looked to be asleep. Based on conversation with the driver and his level of consciousness, officers became concerned that he may be intoxicated. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence of liquor.

  • Occurred 11:59PM (2/24) – Foster St.

Police responded to a disturbance at a residence. Upon identifying the parties involved, it was discovered that one man had two outstanding arrest warrants. The man was subsequently arrested.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 6:30PM (2/23) and 6:30AM (2/24) – Hillside Rd.

Police responded to a report of larceny. The caller stated that several pieces of copper piping had been stolen overnight similar to another incident that had occurred last year. Police are following up on the case.

  • Occurred between 9:00PM and 11:01PM (2/24) – Hurd Rd.

Police responded to a report of a larceny. The victim stated that she and her husband had just returned from vacation and that one of their suitcases was stolen while they were unloading their luggage. Police are following up on the case.
