January 28th

Assault

  • Occurred between 2:40PM and 3:00PM (1/28) – 1017 Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of an assault and battery. The management company was conducting a fire drill when the victim was attempting to alert a tenant of the fire drill. The tenant became angry at being told to leave and threw a coffee mug at the victim. The tenant was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 8:00PM (12/25/09) and 8:00 AM (1/1) – Lee St.

Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering. The victim stated that he did not notice anything was missing from his vehicle until he noticed his jacket in a snow bank. A Zune MP3 player was reported missing. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 3:55PM (1/14) and 3:55 (1/21) – 350 Washington St.

Victim reported that his wallet was stolen somewhere in Brookline. Inside the wallet was a check that was cashed by an unknown source. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 9:00AM (1/8) and 9:00AM (1/9) – Atherton Rd.

Police responded to a report of fraudulent use of a credit card. The victim stated that her Bank of America credit card was used three times without her authorization. Police are following up on the case.

  • Occurred between 5:57PM and 6:15PM (1/28) – 1024 Beacon St.

Police responded to a report of an attempted larceny while using a false ID. A white male wearing a white hoodie and a baseball cap attempted to purchase alcohol with a fake ID. When the manager of the store confronted him, the suspect fled. Police are following up on the case.
