January 21st-24th

Arrests

  • Occurred 9:11PM (1/22) – Fisher Ave./Holland Rd.

Officers located and engaged a man who was thought to be on a local college campus with the intent to distribute drugs. During a pat-frisk search, the man was found to have drugs and mace on his person. The man was arrested for possession of a class D substance (marijuana) with intent to distribute, possession of a class E substance (Suboxen, Clarazepam, and Lorazepam), and possession of ammunition (mace).

  • Occurred 3:34AM (1/23) – 1168 Commonwealth Ave.

Police executed a traffic stop for a driving violation. Upon approaching the driver, the officer could smell a strong odor of liquor. Based on the officer’s observations of the driver, he was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor.

  • Occurred 2:13AM (1/24) – 1111 Beacon St.

Police performed a traffic stop for a driving violation. After identifying the driver, it was found that the driver’s license was suspended and he was subsequently placed under arrest.

  • Occurred between 11:10AM and 11:30AM (1/24) – 21 Longwood Ave.

Police executed a traffic stop for an expired inspection sticker. A check of the driver’s information found that the driver was operating a vehicle on a suspended license and had an active warrant for her arrest. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest.

Breaking and Entering

  • Occurred 10:05AM (1/21) – 399 Chestnut Hill Ave.

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering in progress at a local abandoned building. When officers arrived on the scene, the two suspects were leaving the building. After speaking with the suspects, both were placed under arrest for breaking and entering during daytime with intent to commit a felony, possession of burglarious tools, and trespassing. One suspect was also arrested for three warrants.

Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 2:25PM and 2:45PM (1/22) – 77 Pond Ave.

Police were dispatched to a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed that the victim’s rear passenger side window was broken. The victim stated that a Good Samaritan called her, and advised the victim he found a bag with her information in it. Victim reports a laptop computer was missing from her vehicle. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 12:00PM and 5:00PM (1/23) – 58 Allerton St.

Police responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle. The back window of the vehicle was smashed upon arrival. The victim stated that there was a present in the back seat, that was now unwrapped but still in the vehicle. The only thing that was missing was an IPOD Nano.

Malicious Damage

  • Occurred between 4:00PM (1/19) and 12:07PM (1/21) – High St.

Police responded to a report of malicious damage. The victim’s front door had been vandalized. A degrading word had been written twice, one by carving into the wooden door and one by a black marker. Police are following up on the case.

Fraud

  • Occurred between 10:00AM and 3:30PM (1/20) – University Rd.

Victim reported that after returning home from travelling, she discovered two unauthorized charges to her debit card. Both charges were made in Illinois. Police are following up on the case.

  • Occurred 1:19PM (1/23) – Beacon St.

Victim reported to police that three unauthorized charges on his account had been made over the last week. The charges were all made in Quebec, Canada. Police are following up on the case.

  • Occurred between 8:00AM (1/14) and 5:17PM (1/24) – Doran Rd.

Victim reported that there were numerous fraudulent charges made on her Citizen’s Bank debit card. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

  • Occurred between 11:00PM (1/16) and 1:00AM (1/24) – 350 Washington St.

Victim reported to police that he was at a party and put his camera down on a table. He later noticed the camera was gone, called the owner of the residence where the party was held, who said she had not seen it. Police are following up on the case.

  • Occurred 5:52PM (1/24) – 525 Harvard St.

Police responded to TJ Maxx for a shoplifter who was being detained by store security. The suspect was seen on camera taking clothes from the racks and attempting to return them at the counter using an old receipt. She also was seen placing clothes into her bag. The suspect was arrested for shoplifting.
