January 27th

Fraud

  • Occurred between 12:00PM (1/10) and 8:00AM (1/27) – Perry St.

Victim reported that his Brookline Bank debit card was used fraudulently. The bank recorded 28 unauthorized charges made in primarily the Boston area. Police are following up on the case.

Breaking and Entering and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

  • Occurred between 7:30PM (1/26) and 7:00AM (1/27) – 634 Newton St.

Police responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle. Victim stated that when he woke up in the morning to go to work, he found that his glove compartment and center console were open. The victim’s CD’s, which were housed in a black carrying case, were missing. Police are following up on the case.

  • Occurred between 9:30PM (1/26) and 8:00AM (1/27) – 628 Newton St.

Police located a black backpack at the other breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle at 634 Newton St. The backpack was determined to belong to a man at 628 Newton St. The victim at this address reported that when he went to work in the morning, he found his center console open. A GPS device and the backpack were both missing. Police are following up on the case.

Larceny

  • Occurred 6:28PM (1/27) – 860 Commonwealth Ave.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting. The suspect was last seen running out of a local store with a pair of grey skateboarding sneakers onto Commonwealth Ave., in the direction of St. Paul St. He is described as a white male in his early 20’s, approximately 6’2”, 180 lbs, wearing black jeans and a hooded sweatshirt. Police are following up on the case.
