August 7th – 9th Police Reports

Tip of the week: Please take your GPS unit from your vehicle anytime the car is left unattended.

Assault

• Occurred 10:53AM (8/7) – 15 Egmont St.

Victim stated that during a verbal dispute with her ex, he had assaulted her. Police were able to locate the suspect and question him. Police placed the suspect under arrest for two counts of A&B Domestic, A&B&D&W (Scissors), and child endangerment.

Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle

• Occurred between 12:30PM (8/7) and 8:00AM (8/7) – 171 Heath St.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his car by smashing the right front passenger window. Victim reports that the only thing missing was his wallet that held his credit cards. Victim will be canceling his credit cards.

• Occurred between 5:45AM (8/7) and 11:40AM (8/7) – Brookline Av/Aspinwall Av.

Victim reported having found his vehicle’s front passenger side window broken. Victim states that his GPS system is missing along with his wallet that contained his license and credit cards. A passing individual informed police that they had found parts of a GPS system scattered along the sidewalk. Police placed the parts into evidence. Detectives will be processing the vehicle.

• Occurred 2:56AM (8/8)

Police responded to a parking lot where a suspected individual had been seen attempting to break into a number of vehicles. Police were given a description of the suspect and were able to locate him in a nearby alley. Suspect stated that he was lost and had been drinking earlier. Police contacted the owner’s of the vehicles that had been broken into and were able to return each individuals missing property. Suspect was placed under arrest for three counts of B+E to a motor vehicle, three counts of larceny from a motor vehicle, and one count of possession of burglarious tools (utility knife).

• Occurred 4:28PM (8/9) – Washington St/Pond Av.

Police responded to a call by a security guard in regards to a vehicle that was found having been broken into. The owner arrived on scene after having been contacted by police. Victim stated that his GPS device was missing from the glass mug in the center console area. The glass mug will be submitted into evidence.
Larceny

• Occurred between 7:00AM (8/6) and 3:30PM (8/6) – 503 Washington St.

Victim states that a garbage bag full of clothing meant for donation was stolen off the front deck of his house. Victim states that he had placed two bags out but only one was taken.

• Occurred 3:36PM (8/6) – 1329 Beacon St.

Victim reported that a Dell Laptop was taken from his store. Victim had observed a black skinny male walk into the store, place the laptop in his bag, and then walk out the door. The suspect was described as approximately 5’6,” in his 40’s, was overweight, white shirt, pork pie hat, and sunglasses. Police will be receiving a copy of the video surveillance.

• Occurred 10:30PM (8/6) – 1 Cypress Playground

Victim stated that his camera was stolen off a park bench that he was seated at. Victim stated that he had chased after the suspect but was unable to catch him. Victim was unable to determine the suspects age, but described him as a white male with brown hair, 5’10” tall, about 170lbs, was wearing mesh shorts with a black tee shirt, and black baseball sneakers.

Malicious Damage

• Occurred between 6:00PM (8/6) and 8:00AM (8/7) – 194 Rawson Rd.

Victim reported that someone had keyed the entire right side of his car. Victim believes that the suspect individual could be the person he had a conflict with a few weeks before the current incident.
