August 10th Police Reports

Assault

  • Occurred between 12:21AM (8/10) and 1:00PM (8/10) – 1386 Beacon St.

Police responded to a call of an armed robbery with a large knife. The suspect fled the store. The suspect was described as a tall male in his thirties, possibly Hispanic, he wore a surgical mask, had a white shirt with black stripes, and dark pants. Detectives will be conducting a follow up investigation.

Burglary

  • Occurred between 10:30PM (8/7) and 8:30PM (8/9) – Hammond Pond PK.

Victim reported that someone had broken into his home through the rear door and had stolen money from his nightstand. Victim states that the door had been locked and upon police observation there were several pry marks found. Victim was advised to call his insurance company. Detectives will be processing the entry door and the bedroom furniture.

ID Fraud

  • Occurred between 1:00PM (8/4) and 8:50PM (8/10)

Victim reported having been contacted by a local store with whom she had a credit card. Victim was questioned about a second credit card account that had been recently opened. Victim was further contacted by a second store for another credit card that needed verification before being issued. Victim notified both stores that her identity was stolen. Victim was advised to contact the credit card companies and cancel her cards.

Warrant Default

  • Occurred 2:41AM (8/10) – 675 Washington St.

Police responded to a call of a verbal argument between two individuals. Upon arrival police determined that the disagreement was a verbal argument and no crime was committed. Police arrested one of the parties due to an active Default Warrant.
