GRAFFITI - Officers were called to Westbourne Tr for a report of graffiti. The reporting party stated they found fresh graffiti on their garage door and that it would have to have occurred overnight. The matter has been referred to the Community Service Division.

MV THEFT - Officers were called to Walnut St for a report of a theft of a motorcycle. The reporting party stated they had parked the motorcycle in their driveway overnight and discovered it missing in the morning. The matter is under investigation.

ASSAULT - Officers responded to Commonwealth Av for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated a male individual attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise in his bag. When an employee confronted him, he pushed past them and continued to exit the store. The perpetrator was summonsed to court.

BURGLARY - Officers were called to Parkvale for a report of a burglary. The reporting party stated they went to retrieve property from a basement storage unit and discovered it had been rummaged through and that items were missing. The matter is under investigation.


Tuesday, May 31

BAT EXPOSURE - Officers responded to Winchester St for a report of a live bat inside of an apartment. The animal was captured and transported for testing.

PACKAGE THEFT - Officers were called to Egmont St for a report of a theft. The reporting party stated they received confirmation of the delivery, but when they went to retrieve the package, they found it ripped open and the contents missing. The matter is under investigation.

THEFT - Officers responded to Winthrop Rd for a report of a stolen license plate. The reporting party stated they discovered that the rear license plate had been ripped off the back of their vehicle, damaging the bumper. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Lanark Rd for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left their car unlocked in their driveway for a few days and discovered that it had been rummaged through and that property was missing. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they discovered fraudulent charges on their debit card and that they have been continuously contacted by various companies. The matter is under investigation.

BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to Commonwealth Av for a report of a bike theft. The reporting party stated two individuals requested to test bicycles but took them when left unattended. The matter is under investigation.


Wednesday, June 1

CAR BREAK - Officers were called to Babcock St for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left their vehicle unlocked overnight in a parking lot and discovered that the door was slightly open and that the center console had been rummaged through. The matter is under investigation.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers were called to the area of Eliot St and Loveland Rd for a report of property damage. The post holding the street sign had been broke in half and thrown on the ground. The matter is closed.

The reporting party stated they left their vehicle in a parking lot and returned to discover someone had scratched a line along the outside of the vehicle, as well as smeared red sauce on the driver's side. The matter is under investigation.

CAR BREAK - Officers responded to Princeton Rd for a report of a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The reporting party stated they left their vehicle in their driveway unlocked and discovered an individual had entered it overnight and stolen property. The matter is under investigation.

When they pulled over to exchange information, the suspect knocked the victim to the ground then fled the area. The perpetrator was summonsed to court.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of check fraud. The reporting party stated they discovered a check they had written was altered and then cashed without their knowledge or consent. The matter is under investigation.

Friday, June 3

ASSAULT - Officers responded to Harvard St for a report of a customer disturbance. A male individual was creating a disturbance and pushed an employee. After asking him to leave, the suspect made threats but eventually left the premises without further incidence. The matter is under investigation.

FRAUD - Officers took a report of fraud. The reporting party stated they agreed to sell a couch to an individual, who sent the funds through Zelle. The suspect claimed they sent too much and requested a partial reimbursement, ceasing all contact after the fact. The matter is under investigation.


Saturday, June 4

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers were called to Freeman St for a report of damage to town property. The reporting party stated they found a dislodged fire hydrant lying in their yard. The matter is under investigation.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to Beacon St for a report of damage to private property. The reporting party stated they secured their bike to a sign and returned to find the front tire had been slashed. The matter is under investigation.

ASSAULT - Officers responded to Larz Anderson Park for a report of two individuals fighting. The reporting party stated they entered a verbal disagreement with another individual, who then struck them repeatedly. The matter is under investigation.
