February 16, 2021


2/10/2021 FRAUD - Officers responded to a fraud report where the victim stated that they received a letter from the office of unemployment from another state. Since the victim did not claim unemployment benefits and never worked in another state, they contacted police.

2/11/2021 BREAK AND ENTER OF  MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to a motor vehicle breaking and entering on Stetson St. where the victim stated that they discovered their vehicle with the driver door and glove compartment open. Detectives are currently in the process of obtaining surveillance footage.

2/11/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Harvard St. The suspect was stopped later by officers. Items were recovered and the perpetrator was arrested.  

2/11/2021 BIKE THEFT - Officers responded to a report for bike theft on Walnut St. where the reporting party stated that two bikes were missing from the storage area of the building. Detectives are currently investigating.  

2/11/2021 DISTURBANCE - Officers responded to a disturbance at a food establishment on Harvard St. where the patron refused to pay for their meal. The manager's attempt to resolve the issue was in vain. Officers arrived to deescalate the issue and the perpetrator will be summoned to court. 

2/11/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a report of shoplifting on Harvard St. where the store manager stated that multiple parties entered the store and left with several items. Detectives are currently investigating surveillance footage.

Officers responded to two reports of unemployment fraud on Friday 2/12

Officers received 8 reports breaking and entering of Motor Vehicles from 2/12 - 2/15

2/12/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a report of package theft where the reporting party stated that upon returning from vacation, they discovered packages missing. 

2/12/2021 SHOPLIFT - Officers responded to a shoplifting on Beacon St. where the suspect left the store with multiple merchandise on a bike. Officers are currently checking if there is any surveillance footage near the area.

2/13/2021 PACKAGE THEFT - Officers responded to a package theft where the reporting party stated that they were notified that their packages were delivered but nothing came to their home. Upon contacting FedEx, they advised the victim to contact police.

2/14/2021 DAMAGE TO A MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to a report of malicious damage on Harvard St. where the reporting party stated that when they returned to their vehicle, scratches on their hood had appeared along with a note attached to the windshield wipers.

 2/15/2021 DAMAGE TO A MOTOR VEHICLE - Officers responded to a report of malicious damage to a motor vehicle on Beacon St. The reporting party stated that they returned to their vehicle with key marks on the drivers side as well as multiple stickers place on the vehicle.

2/16/2021 BURGLARY - Officers responded to a breaking and entering at a food pantry room on Egmont St. The reporting party stated that various items were stolen including parking passes, a portable patio heater and several name cards. Officers are currently going through surveillance footage.

2/16/2021 BURGLARY - Officers responded to multiple breaking and entering at a commercial building on Beacon St. Items stolen included 2 new Dell computers, 2 couches, 2 bookcase with books, a round table, a wheelchair, a ficus tree, a coffee table, a console table, a picture and 3 keys. Officers were able to review the security camera footage along with a witness identification to positively identify and arrested the perpetrator.
