ANIMAL VIOLATION - Officers took a report of a dog off leash on Boylston St. The reporting party stated the dog wanders across neighboring property. The owner has been issued a citation and will be summonsed to court.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - Officers responded to a call on Chatham St regarding an attempted breaking and entering of a residence. The reporting party stated a male individual was looking in windows and trying to open the doors. The matter is under investigation.
LARCENY - Officers were called to Verndale St for a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated they returned to their home to find property missing. The matter is under investigation.
PURSE THEFT - Officers responded to a call on Harvard St for a report of a purse theft. The reporting party stated they were sitting at a table when an individual snatched their purse from behind. The purse has been recovered. The matter is under investigation.
Wednesday, October 20
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - Officers were called to Lawrence Rd for a report of an attempted burglary. The reporting party stated they saw a male individual open their garage and go through their property, although the individual fled without taking anything. He has been placed under arrest for attempted breaking and entering.

MALICIOUS DAMAGE - Officers responded to a call on Beacon St for a report of malicious damage to a store. The reporting party stated they founded glue in the lock, as well as around the door and on the floor of the entry way. The matter is under investigation.
SCAM - Officers were called to Browne St for a report of an online scam. The reporting party stated they were attempting to buy tickets online when an individual offered tickets in exchange for payment over Venmo. After the payment was sent, the individual claimed the app had taken a transfer fee and demanded more money. The matter is under investigation.
Friday, October 22
FRAUD - Officers responded to a report of a fraud on Winchester St. The reporting party stated they received notice about an unknown and unauthorized withdrawal from an account. The matter is under investigation.
FRAUD - Officers took a report for identity fraud on Fuller St. The reporting party stated that they were notified that their social security number had been used to fraudulently open an account in another state. They were advised to monitor their personal accounts and contact the Social Security Fraud Hotline. The matter is under investigation.
LARCENY - Officers were called to Bradford Tr for a report of a larceny. The reporting party stated they left property unattended while they went inside a building, and when they returned, the property was gone. The matter is under investigation.
GRAFFITI - Officers were contacted about graffiti on Clafin Rd. The matter has been referred to the Community Service Department.
FOUND PROPERTY - An individual came to the station to turn in an iPhone they found on Brookline Pl. It will be kept at the station for safe keeping.
Saturday, October 23
ASSAULT - Officers were called to Boylston St for a report of an assault. The victim stated they were involved in a minor car accident with another individual and had pulled over to exchange information. The individual grew irate and defensive, grabbing the victim by the collar and punching them. They then fled the scene. The matter is under investigation.
Sunday, October 24
FRAUD - Officers responded to a call on Beacon St for a report of a fraud. The reporting party stated they were contacted by an individual claiming to be able to reimburse their Eversource account. The matter is under investigation.
