JANUARY 22, 2020

An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on West Roxbury Parkway. Sometime overnight, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and various items of monetary value were stolen.

An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on Russett Rd. Sometime overnight, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and change was stolen.

At 2:05PM, officers responded to the lower Beacon St area for a male threatening to shoot a local store employee and made a gesture as if he had a gun. The suspect was reported to be travelling with a companion. Two parties were stopped on the Muddy River pathway who matched the description. The store employee stated that he observed the suspect get into a verbal argument with someone on the street and spit in their direction. The employee confronted the suspect about the incident, which resulted in the suspect threatening to shoot him and grabbing his waistband, gesturing as if he had a gun. The suspect was searched where no gun was found. The suspect was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon. The companion he was travelling with had a warrant for his arrest.

An officer took a report for larceny from Brookline High School. The victim left his backpack in an unlocked locker while at sports practice. When the victim came back his headphones and cash were taken from his backpack.


JANUARY 23, 2020

An officer took two reports for malicious damage from two separate medical facilities on Harvard St. Sometime overnight, the facilities were egged.

At 12:00PM, officers responded to the main library on Washington St for a patron harassing an employee. The suspect was identified and no trespassed from all libraries in Brookline.


JANUARY 24, 2020

An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on Regent Cr. Sometime overnight, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors where headphones and a cell phone were stolen.

An officer took a report for larceny from a mailbox. Sometime between January 4 and January 8, a check was stolen from a mailbox in the area of St Paul St and Alton Pl. The check was altered and fraudulently cashed.


JANUARY 26, 2020

An officer took a shoplifting report that occurred the day prior from a business on Commonwealth Av. On January 25 at 10:20AM, the suspect entered the store and placed multiple electronic items in a bag and fled without paying. The suspect was identified and a warrant was sought for his arrest.

An officer took a report for larceny from a locker at the public pool on Tappan St. Sometime between 2:30PM and 4:00PM, two lockers were pried open and one was left unlocked. From the unlocked locker credit cards were stolen from the victim's wallet and fraudulently used.


JANUARY 27, 2020

An officer took a report for threats from a residence on St Paul St. The victim stated that in 2017, she lent a large sum of money to family members with a repayment plan in place. Since then, the family members have not paid the victim back and changed their phone numbers to avoid her. The victim located the family members and when confronted about payment, they stated they would kill her family in Colombia and her as well.

At 10:15AM, officers responded to the area of Cypress St and Walnut St for a dispute where the victim's feet were run over. It was later determined that an argument about the suspect's side view mirrors resulted in a verbal argument. Both parties had conflicting statements, but declined to press charges and the matter was resolved.

An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle at a residence on Holly Ln. Sometime overnight the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors, while in the garage, and change was stolen.

An officer took a report for suspicious activity from Gerry Rd. On January 27 at approximately 2:00PM, an elementary school student was walking home when he observed an individual wearing a "hacker mask" walk towards him. The individual never spoke to the student or chased after him and was at least 25 feet away at all times. The student felt the individual was seeking him out and hid until the individual walked away from the area.

An officer took a report for larceny from a motor vehicle that was parked on Tappan St. Sometime between 1:30PM and 4:00PM, the vehicle was entered through unlocked doors and credit cards were stolen from the victim's wallet. The credit cards were used to make fraudulent transactions.

An officer took a package theft report from a residence on High St. Sometime between January 26 at 6:35PM and January 27 at 12:00PM, the contents of the package were stolen from the front door of the residence.

Officers responded to a business on Harvard St for a shoplifting that occurred minutes before. The suspect entered the store and took an item off the shelf. The suspect then went to the register asking for a refund. The refund was issued and the suspect left the store.
